I totally support this! After seeing the Reward Tracks, and how they dont require you to run the same dungeon path hundreds of times to get good skins, I was mighty tempted to start spvp… but then i remembered that with my staff ele i might as well just jump of an eotm island and get it over with..

Eh? I see quite a bunch of staff eles on sPvP… If you have someone to keep the people under cc, you can just meteor shower your way to victory (pretty much like in wvw)

I don’t think its necessary. We already have WXP so I’d rather see that system be built upon instead of making a new one alongside it. Another thing is that I don’t want to lose zerglings because of a reward they can get on the other side of the map. I just think WvW should be more about teamwork than rewards because teamwork brings the rewards.

At least update the WVW achievements. 250k kills needs adjusted to a higher amount. They all do. I know I like to track my achievements lets make this happen.

NEVER should have added rewards to WvW anyway. Thats where the players looking for fun pvp went, pve was for the rewards. Now entire servers like TC have been bought by JQ.

As nice as this sounds it likely won’t happen. With the removal of glory and the merging of PvE and sPvP gear sPvP players needed a way to earn PvE gear and that is why they received the reward tracks. In WvW we already get PvE rewards for kills and wxp rank ups.

Hah bought. More like our mutual hate towards buygate.

Rewards are unnecessary but would be appreciated.. earning gold is hard enough in WvW.

While I do like the idea, I’m not sure it will get implemented since we do already have rank-up chests in WvW, which serve the same purpose.

That said, there might be some merit in reworking the system so that different WvW activities become different reward tracks. (e.g. a “WvW Defender” reward track, which is increased every time you defend an objective). This would make defending a more popular option, especially if defending objectives gives you better rewards like Obsidian/Lodestones/Clovers.

heh, rank up chests are a joke. 99% of times I get those I get worse loot than from killing random mob.

+1, was a great addition to PvP for those that don’t like PvE, would love to see it in WvW as well.

EotM need this too, but rewards should be cooler than normal www rewards because EotM is EotM.

Generally, yeah, they contain trash. :P Once in a long while you’ll get a Rare, or even an Exotic. I did get an Ascended weapon chest from them once too. But I mainly enjoy them for the bonus silver in them.

I agree, WvW rank up rewards are absurdly atrocious. One solution I’ve seen bounced around is to add a vendor that sells something worthwhile for badges of honor. Give us times, ascended trinks, exotic weps, etc! Of course this would require needing the EotM karma train into the ground so that badges retain some actual value, but this really needs to happen anyway.
