I was thinking about the motivations to play WvW, I myself like it and play just for fun, but many players says it has no reward and are getting bored, they want something to fight for not only server pride.

So I thought why not having weekly achivements for WvW? As we have daily and monthly, but achievements that makes sense and help the server winning the match not like some we had on season 1.

The basic would be killing enemies, dolyals, capping towers, supply camps, keeps and castles, but also defending those locations, buying upgrades, repairing stuff, destroy or build sieges… like a small season.

Of course achievements that could be done in a week of WvW, not in one day or impossible stuff that forces you to farm for hours to get it. And there could be one special achievement for winning the match.

The reward could be based on tokens like those from dungeons, you could exchange then for exclusive skins, rare craft materials, finishers, I dont know stuff like PvE has. And the winning server of the week could get some more tokens or a chest with a chance for rare stuff.

Macros, you can use them as long as they arent macros.
Remember to buy the officially endorsed GW2 Steel Series Keyboard, it supports macros!
WvW, we only care if it affects the servers we play on.

The “winning the match” achievements should never be implemented because most matches are pre-determined by off-hours coverage. There are simply too many servers that will never win against other servers due to coverage issues.

What I would like to see is a “scalable reward” system, where if a fight is very long, for example a figth for keep or garison, that lasts 1-2 hours, whith max players present in a map and most of them within the battle event, the reward needs to be much much greater then taking an empty keep or said garison.

Another words, I would like to see an “effort vs reward” system put into place.
