Ok, we’ve been the redheaded step child for a while and we (WvW’ers) know that, you (Anet) know that, and they (PvE’ers) know that. So you guys finally decided to try and sell something that actually was relevant to wvw, and this is what you came up with?

Black lion weapon scraps and Keys… What does this have to do with WvW? I mean, we’re grateful that you guys finally decided we deserve to have cool skins too but you’re giving us access to literally skins that the PvE community has had for months, if not over a year.

Wxp boosters- Idk, maybe I’m alone on this but I feel like these would be worth more and more appreciated if it wasn’t for the guy who hit max rank (either last week or the week before) on EoTM. It’s like your choosing to give us these to compensate for the fact that we can’t compete with their Karma train.

Primers and Boosts- I don’t know how much the total “Pack” costs, but is it really necessary to throw in things that I have dozens of sitting in my vault, likely just to drive up the price so that you can still say we’re getting a good deal on the ticket scraps.

~P.S. This is not nearly as beneficial as the things we’ve been asking for, and looks a lot like the tournament achievements in that someone realized last minute that we were getting anxious and starting to leave.

glad to see that WvW has not yet become pay to win. harmless WvW trinkets in the gem store are ok by me.

I rather like this pack. The metabolic and utility boosters are real helpful with those expensive foods (Pots of Lemongrass Poultry, anyone?). I may not like everything in it, but its a good start, honestly.

The pack is fine… the fact it costs over $20 is ridiculous.

If a player bought the gems and converted directly to gold they would end up with 175g give or take. If they convert gold to gems, that is around 250g for that pack. Crazy!

I laughed because of the title of “WvW Support Pack” when its clear that nobody but us supports WvW

I don’t know what happened over at Anet but, the whole month of September they’ve been shooting themselves in the foot with a lot of players. This is just the icing on the cake if you will. Might have been better received before the season began. Not almost 3/4 of the way done with it. /sigh

The name “WvW support pack” means “please buy it to support WvW so we can keep our part time intern working on adding new colors for commander tag”.

If only… Chances are the big brother PvE devs would take it away and use it for more PvE in wvw. (Toxic alliance killing yaks)

For the amount it costs I’d expect 5 full claim tickets, not 5 scraps.

And my main issue with this pack is the name. People will buy it because some people buy everything they see in the gem store. But really, its kinda insulting to WvW players when you give US no support and then try and make money off of a “Support” pack.

You can actually buy them flat out with gems via the booster tab on the gem store. Been that way for quite a while actually.

Yeah, just checked and it looks like you’re right. I guess +5% isn’t a huge deal in the grand scheme of things, but still it is something and the fact that you can now buy boosters like that is a little disconcerting.

The boosts do not work against players I believe. Only against NPCs last time I checked

Boosters have been available for a long time, surprised you haven’t noticed I see people with them on all the time especially after a black lion key sale.

I like to pop them all sometimes to make my buff bar overloaded hehe.

What are you basing this information on? Quick wiki browsing / experience since beta yielded no facts that would conform to your statement.

Speed booster works in wvw and iirc so does str and def. Someone please correct me if i am wrong(i’d love to be wrong on this one).

I have about 15 in my bank that I never use. As a general rule I forget to use my boosters, and I used to farm BL Keys a lot with my PvX guild, before it imploded. When I get home I’ll test to see if they affect players as well as monsters and post the findings.

Just a random idea – what if they came out with something legitimately interesting for WvW without making it unbalanced, like new skins for siege or something. Something simple like that seems better to me than throwing a bunch of random PvE items into a bundle saying “please buy this”

Actually if someone want to buy those items in similar quantity, then it is cheaper to buy this pack than all items separately.

Tho, I agree, there should be 5 BL Claim Tickets not Scraps.

It really isn’t and shouldn’t be an issue though… It goes back to the argument about whether guild wars is P2W because of ascended gear/Legendary. Sure I can buy the gold to buy the legendary/ level crafting, etc… but there are ways of getting them in game…
Plus I don’t know any one in WvW who actually uses the boosters in their vaults… Maybe the MF one.

If they gave keys away for free they would sell more keys too this is ture for any thing and it dose not make something more profitable to do it. The thing about keys and skins is they always have and will hit an equilibrium so opening chest is more about the super rare items the permanent items and the one chest 1 skin ticke. So you will never make gold off of opening chest you will only save gold as in key farming (there is a new one) that lets you convent time spend into keys that may convent into skins so a time to skins maybe.

The most important “update” to WvW we’ve had took two guys a weekend to do (change commander tags from soulbound to accountbound after the massive uproar over the colored commander tags announcement).

That’s how much support WvW has gotten.
