Do you plan on lowering some of the requirements for WvW titles? At the moment, most are just ridiculous to get.

I saw an ele at the start of the game with Ultimate Dominator as their title.
And this was like less than a month after release.

So I assume only bots have it.

After the big bot purge though? No I don’t think I have.
The WvW achievements are nearly as unrealistic as the +300 lvl points you need for an extra 5 siege.

Allowing an option to hide titles in PvE would not be unwelcome as well.

That maybe hiding your enemies titles in WvW would be a better suggestion.

Using OP’s picture as a reference, and the fact that it’s from a relatively dedicated player.

7% in 6 months —> 14% in a year --> 98% in seven years —> 100% in a seven years and a few months

The rest of those at 1% in six months and 2% in a year, would equal 50 years! That is literally a lifetime achievement.

Casual WvW’ers might as well kiss any title good-bye at its current rate.

The math and its posts for titles has been done numerous times, pointing out the ludicrous time for even hardcore players to show a title.

PvE players have quite a few titles to show off already.
sPvP even has titles that can be seen.
WvW players have nothing. Not even WXP titles are seen outside of WvW.

Considering how long the current title system takes, they should allow us to show off our intermediary titles.

And this is old news. When someone tells me ‘they plan on looking into it’ that means to me there is going to be a long long wait.

Of all WvW achievements, “Realm Avenger” progression is the only one that is not settled as (lifetime) after the description. Does that means the total kills in WvW is capped? Does it mean this number stops at 250,000 with the title or it keep going?

Haha, I would guess most of us will be dead before we get any of those achievements.

If you want a decent military/‘soldiery’ type Title to use in WvW, it’s currently easier to go play sPvP.

Yet again, WvW was clearly not a priority during development.

Only under the condition that you join zergs as often as you can. For a small server roamer like me the WvW titles are unreachable even in 1000 years.

After 2 months of WvW i reached the 3 tier of the Realm Avanger Achievment, but 95% of my kills come from 1vs1 or small group fights. When i see a zerg – my own, or the enemy’s, it doesn’t matter – i turn the other way. 250k kills needed for the Ultimate Dominator title is pure science fiction.

My suggestion is to make a title already at tier 4 or at least 5. Something like:
tier 1: -
tier 2: -
tier 3: -
tier 4: Dominator
tier 5: Experienced Dominator
tier 6: Ultimate Dominator

‘World peace’ is something I’d like to address, and seems as unlikely to happen.

Let’s have some cold hard facts, like what exactly is specifically being addressed on a wvw specific basis by the dev team right now. Publish a list- not a wish list of ‘we might look at’’it’s being looked at’ ‘consideration is being given to maybe doing something about it’, but an actual list, so wvw’rs can see some love from the devs.

There was a list of issues about wvw somewhere at some point, started just after the game came out, don’t know what ever happened to it.

Take a good look at how titles progressed in GW1 and apply it here- surely it can’t take THAT much effort to think of a name for each stage of the titles in wvw and then apply them, so that each tier of each achievement has a title? If you’re struggling with names, ask the community, I’m sure you will get many suggestions.

Then sort out the titles themselves so they are achievable, and add extra tiers- wvw kills, for instance, should have at least ten tiers (look at rank system for HoH in GW1 for guidance), maybe 15, with progression looking similar to GW1 rank titles.

Simple changes that would certainly cheer up the massive wvw community.

So, will we be able to see what the ranks are of our own allies? As of now, we can only see the titles of our enemies (<servername> Raider)…

But personally, and I think a lot of people would agree with me, it’s more interesting to see the ranks/titles of our allies than of my enemies (since we don’t know who they are anyways, every Raider/Invader/whatever is the same person to me)

Also, I can understand the trickiness of titles like these. You don’t want them accomplished too quickly, as then it would be too easy and you don’t want to make them to take forever to achieve because, well, we would complain a lot more than we already do.

Though I know there have been plenty of suggestions, if the plan is to have a title take years to accomplish, I would love to see a WvW buff attached to it, i.e. Yakslapper: You know how to kill Dolyaks. You now do +10% damage vs. Dolyaks.

Hi Devon…concerned GW2 WvW player here. Given your (Arena Net) current track record on WvW builds should we expect one anytime soon?

Also, you stated that you’ve “started to improve WvW”, can you shed some light on that? To me it seems like a very subjective statement. It would be great if we had a representative that was candid with the community.

Yeah its gon take a “lifetime” to get any of those titles for WvW. You practically have to play all day/7 days a week and hope 90 people are ready to die at your hands for free (just a rough no# to say).I know the titles in WvW aren’t meant to be a piece of cake, but i say these titles are worse then what you have to do in PS3/Xbox achievements…

I also find it kinda odd that we can only see the enemies rank in WvW (Server name/ Invader etc) and not our own is there something behind this that could be clarified.

I really hate the face that when im running with a group of people and we fight a zerg, 70% of the group fled in fear and you’re going great im dead lol. Makes me think im with a bunch of Invaders at times. Plus it would let you know who got some exp under their belt to lead people (or small groups at least).

How bout adding account wide titles for WvW ranks, like sPvP rank titles?

Even if the actual rank remains character only for WvW.

Don’t lower the requirements for these titles please.

In a few months, Morningstar will have a bunch of the titles. They are fun and challenging the way they are now, if you lower it because people are whining they will be useless. Please ANet, for once don’t listen to the minority of QQers

I think its good to have almost impossible titles, maybe it will take us 3 years to get one.. But then you can show off and say " Ow do you have this title? "

I agree — that would take care of soooo many lag issues… every other game with titles (that I have played so far) have an option to turn off all titles..
