I agree that it became about using a lot more ranged siege and that rams are now as useful as golems – i.e. only useful if the enemy has not spotted you.

I think;

• arrow carts should be more expensive,
• cats should be cheaper and,
• trebs should be cheaper.

the ability to treb all the surrounding towers from SM is precisely the reason why SM is so valuable. the availability of a waypoint there if you can hold it long enough is also a big bonus.

a good way to avoid SM getting filled with trebs (assuming your team cannot take and hold SM for itself) is to treb the walls down to make it easy for the other team to take it. then treb the walls down again to make it easy for the previous owners to take it back. if you can keep the other two teams busy taking SM from each other, they won’t have time or opportunity to build a lot of trebs.
