I realize ArenaNet puts allot of focus on their economy but i play WvW 80% of the time and little is done about the bugs.

However there is something far worse than bugs when it comes to WvW.

TROLLS!

see ArenaNet, I’ve played on JQ since I got this game and we hit a roadblock, a certain troll with a commander pin hopped servers. However due to the mechanics of WvW and the way your game works he cannot be reported.

He turns on his commander pin, wastes supply, and gets other players killed.

He does not really say anything that is offensive unless he jumps on Teamspeak and starts insulting people. However he is constantly saying something in map chat, causing text walls of useless information, while driving folks away from important objectives.

So Arena Net in WvW, trolls break the game, they use their pins to manipulate the more casual player into running to their death, and when we tell them we do not like their strategy or plz stop following that guy, in team/map chat the players, who have given the most to the server are to blame according to your code of conduct.

So Arena Net in WvW, are loyal players, who just wanna have fun on their server to blame or are the few with malicious intent, who manipulate your game mechanics to cause there own server to falter to blame.

See Generally in team/map/say I’m pretty neutral, and don’t swear or harass but in this case this person i speak of reported me. Now I don’t believing i have done enough wrong to warrant any kind of a ban, i remain neutral and funloving most of the time.

but I think for WvW Arena Net needs a better way to deal with trolls, I might be able to report this particular player for spamming but he has what he types timed just right that he isn’t blocked for spamming.

Sidenote: This particular troll has followed a JQ guild across two servers and has been heckling them for the past 3 months.

I have put over 3 months into the JQ WvW server and its community Arena Net.

Yet this person who has been on the server a whole few days, goes out of his way to report me and according to your code of conduct and programming there is nothing, I or any of the ppl displeased with him can do!

So this is how trolls exploit WvW:
-they are hostile and uncivilized towards those who try to play competitvly
-they manipulate until someone throws up a swear or some other word grouping that can be seen as offensive
-lowers moral of new players by forcing them to there deaths(new players tend to follow ppl with pins)
-lowers moral of veteran players who cant get stuff done/are upset
-drop in score (over 300pnts to 140 JQ)

To sum it up it frustrates me how a person who has spent the past 3 months being a nuisance and heckeling a guild can be in the right thanks to your Code of Conduct yet people who have helped built a overall positive gaming community over the past 3 months can be in the wrong.

See when it comes to WvW things need more work, but it would be a shame to see one person with malicious intent drop JQ to teir 2. I understand that we should respect a players playstyle, but if it ruins so many others play styles and competition in WvW i think it needs to be discussed

It would just be such a pity to be banned or harassed from a game I have come to enjoy so much, with the JQ community and my fellow guildmates.

Thankfully that guy did not cross my way yet, although lesser forms of trolling (or sabotage by server-hopping double agents from opposing servers) apparently do appear. Roughly one week ago there was one player who repeatedly took supplies from fortresses. People asked her repeatedly to leave the supplies alone for reinforcements, but she seemed to be on a mission to keep her chosen fortress (usually a threatened one right at the frontlines) drained of supplies. Never built something useful either, but rather constructed rams on open field etc.

Oh yeah idk if hes a double agent but he told ppl one day that his main account was in SOS, he might just be trollin though, But this guy is far more destructive than simply taking supply from fortresses sadly.

most likely a turncoat supporting his true home server. Im pretty sure you can have that person up for harrassment. Especially if its constant.

there is a very simple solution for this issue:
/block <Trollname>
problem solved. You wont be seeing him typing in chat anymore.
If someone follows him again and again only to die – thats their own fault.

Only the problem is not solved, because these people can still drain the supplies of frontline fortresses. Also, somebody who enters WvWvW only occasionally may not know that a particular player is only there to cause mayhem, see the commander’s symbol and run to their doom without any fault of their own.
What you suggest is a band-aid for those who already know that this player is up to no good, and one that removes only the smallest of the issues he causes.
