Guild Wars 2

As i can see, there is still no sense of claiming Tower’s and Keep’s in WvW. Me in my small guild have no motivation to stand and fight by defending our Tower or Camp in WvW. This is still fight for a carrot (golden pants), nothing else. Why ANet dont want to make defense more worth it? For Example:
- Each guild who claim Tower’s(keep’s,camp’s) can earn gold for for each success defence in WvW, this gold will automaticaly jump into guild bank. Main guild will split thier gold for others guild in alliance, for helping to hold thier siege. Or for example 2: Main Guild’s will earn gold for each hour, by holding thier own keep’s, camp’s etc. This option would involve other guild closer relations in alliance and motivate ppl to fight in WvW.
In my opinion, benefit from actual state of WvW is not accectable, boring and not motivated.

You do get money for defending not because you clsimed though and the buffs you can run is the main reason to claim

Fully upgraded north tower with a wp in your garrison and the +5 supply buff sets a good staging point for assaults on other borderlands. Lock up the NE tower with siege and 1-2 defenders when its upgraded and run supply from there for your assault if you push on different maps.(this only works in T3-T8 because map jumping is less effective with queues)

No offense, but your idea is terrible. It will not do anything you claim, it will just cause people to rage at each other for fast-claiming things because your idea suggests entirely guild benefit and no server benefit.

I would like to see claiming become more worthwhile, but as it stands even though it offers almost no advantages (the buffs are minor and have low uptime) – people already complain about other guilds claiming and not running them. Further benefit being added to it will just exacerbate the problem. Before that can be done, something has to be done to allow ‘rightful’ claiming for whoever may be defending and doing the work.
