WvW and the Heart of Thorns Release
Unpopular opinion: It’s 2-3 hours of the week; I’m actually fine with it. If my guild doesn’t rally, I’ll follow along with a different guild and then rally as normal in the evening. Carry on as normal.
Of course you’re fine with it, this is your first post in around 3 months as a ‘wvw specialist’.
Welcome back to GW2- remember to canvass opinions on your server first before spouting garbage.
Pretty sure there aren’t many adult guilds that will be raiding at 10am reset – most of us have real lives.
It’s cute that he thinks there’ll be other guilds formed up. At 11am in the morning NA.
Hello All,
Launching a game is an enormous undertaking and our teams need time to address any issues that come up. Therefore after launch we must move WvW reset to Saturday. We will keep resets on Saturday to address issues and once we are in the clear we will evaluate the best time for WvW reset both for us as a company as well as for our players.
Since it is clear that we cannot pick a time that will work for everyone, we will be maintaining our original plan of shifting reset by 24 hours, to Saturday evening. That time was based on data for when prime time occurs in each region.
Thank you,
John

John,
Thank you…
Can only hope the new data that is evaluated will show what will help the WvW Community grow.
Would you please share your evaluated data with the WvW Community in 1 month after HoT is released?
Let’s try the New Saturday Reset…and see if it really has a negative impact on the WvW Community…or…if it becomes a positive change…that we never knew about…until we tried it.
To the developers that are working hard to make HoT happen.
Heart-felt…Thank you…from a hard core WvW player.

Do what u need to do, just try to make sure the game is released with as few bugs as possible.
Evening reset is better for most people (except EU players on NA servers). Moving it one day back means that weekend warriors get to make less of an impact on the overall score (if thats of anyones concern). But it also means that Fridays / Saturday (Asia) could be dedicated to pure guild hall arena fight nights. If Anet can do something to help encourage guilds to participate in guild halls arena that would be awesome. Hope to see some sort of guild rewards made available for guilds that regularly participate in guild hall arena fights. These sort of rewards could range from guild level boosts or upgrades to even simple consumables lile nourishment that a guild typicaly spends alot of gold on. Thanks

So don’t pick a time, don’t change anything, and don’t upset anyone.
Seems like you always try something shady (changing reset to saturday) then one up yourselves so the entire community compromises back to what you originally planned…
I’ve tried reaching out to multiple devs on multiple occasions to see what there is that I as a player can do to help, seems like everything the WvW community says is ignored. We don’t want a reset change, not to Saturday afternoon and not to Saturday evening

Excuse me!!
When is the “Correct” next reset time ??
Hello All,
There are a couple of reasons for the change to reset time. One is for the overall quality of the game. The last few years we have been careful to not disrupt the WvW reset time but this has at times made it difficult for our team to address issues during reset day. This change will give our team an extra day of the week that they can use to respond to issues that may occur with WvW or any other area of the game if it is necessary. In the early days we wanted reset to be during a weekday to ensure we had people available to monitor the game at reset time, but at this point we have seen the ongoing stability of World vs. World and resetting on a weekday is no longer necessary.
Another reason is the emergent gameplay that has come from reset. It has become one of the most exciting times for WvW and we would really love for more players to have the opportunity to experience it. We have many more players logging in on Saturday than on Friday which means with this change many more people will be available to experience the rush of claiming objectives for their world during reset.

We understand that launching HoT could impact WvW and shifting reset temporarily would not have been met with such resistance if you had been forthcoming in the first place and explaining why you had to do it as well as mentioning that the switch was temporary.
The fact that you guys tried to twist this as a “for WvW players” thing when the majority did not ask for a reset time alteration probably didn’t sit well with people.
Personally I’d be ok with giving up a few resets and ability to play with my SEA friends (temporarily) if it means you guys can iron out any issues with HoT launching/WvW new maps.
If the reset time changes are permanent though then I’ll go back to grabbing my pitchfork because I like playing with SEA people

Seems fair. Sticking with the data seems like the best approach even in the face of that initial backlash. One of those kitten ed if you do, kitten ed if you don’t situations. Hopefully people will be more understanding with this further explanation and the promise to re-evaluate in the future. A different reset day every so often actually sounds like fun to me.
You all got me a little excited with thoughts of more frequent resets so hopefully you guys are taking a look at that option for your upcoming WvW patch. Best of luck with your HoT launch. May all your lag ships have smooth sailing and tricker-treat bags be full of goodies.

Guys,
I’m stepping in here to suggest that you take a good look at your comments before hitting “Post Reply.” Express your thoughts, of course! (Well, unless like a few people here ~gives a beady eye~ you’re doing so again and again!)
If you feel inclined to post, having seen tonight’s status update, please do so in a constructive and non-inflammatory way. No need to use insulting language, rude commentary, name calling, or any of the other “contributions” that actually contribute nothing at all to a thoughtful conversation.
Thanks.

I suggest that arenanet staff take a good look at their changes before hitting “implement” too.
Constructive feedback: have more resets so more people can experience reset rush. Also have reset on Fridays, give Anet employees Fridays off and have that extra work day on Sunday. I think those suggestions adequately line up with Anet’s statements.
Thanks for offering a constructive suggestion. But wouldn’t that sort of tilt things, to have multiple resets? I’m not an expert on competitive play, and I’d leave and assessment for the people who are more knowledgeable. But it seems to me there’s a reason for the resets not happening on a more frequent basis.
How do others see this suggestion? (Remember, I have no influence on this, I’m just genuinely curious!)

Which they provably have done. For goodness sake! The need for the change has been explained by John, and the team considered suggestions in this very thread in making a possible alternation in plans (from evening to morning) but, based, again, on feedback, they’ve gone with what data supports, and with their initial plan. I think that’s a good thing.

I am sorry you arent happy that people are this upset, but the truth is you gave us a preposterous alternative to help sell an already horrible one.
Your metrics on this are absolutely wrong and do not take into consideration the reality of WvW and resets. This is a huge hit to the WvW community and the only real reason you gave us is because it is more convenient for you.
This is why you are getting the responses that you are.
I suggest that arenanet staff take a good look at their changes before hitting “implement” too.

Gaile it’s a problem with the day and I wish they would have said from the beginning this is for the launch of the xpack and could be something changed in the future, We have 10 or so people from our small 20 man reset raid that wont be able to come because its Saturday now after 3 years of it being Friday. This was the one night out of the week our Oceanic group and NA group could play together in Wvw and this single handely has destroyed that. I understand the need for it with the xpack but as a possibly temporary thing that should be pointed out in the beginning. And moving over to this new day to try to bring more people in, we already queue maps on most servers during reset why move to Saturday? Just to have more people sit in Queues instead of coming on Saturday after reset day and enjoying themselves. Like I said I get it for the xpack you guys will be pushing a lot of patches to fix any launch weeks problems, but past that it should really return to its normal day.
they’ve gone with what data supports, and with their initial plan. I think that’s a good thing.
How about you explain the data in detail for us? Actually dont even both, because it isn’t as relevant as you think it is on pure numbers alone.
Those of us who actually WvW day in and out, we currently have meaningful WvW on Friday nights with full map queues on many servers. This also means we log in and play on Saturday because it is important to the outcome of the match.
With this change, you are making friday and most of Saturday meaningless WvW and you will have far less people logging in than you do now (once the temp influx of people coming back to try the xpac are removed from the equation). The matchups are generally all but over by this time and the game devolves to karma training. Most of us really don’t want half of our weekend free time taken away from us.
I can also tell you that in my guild alone you will have 40ish or so less people online Friday to Saturday night. You are literally shooting yourself in the foot here.
if it a good idea for change reset time , won’t show you 13 papge ( 610+ Replies) for Protest . right ?
we hope dont change reset(Firday reset) , it coz still many people love WvW .

OK, I’m not very good with multiple quotes, so let me try and get this right.

I really don’t think they have. OK, well, there was never an initial reason given for the change, let alone, a “need” for it. Secondly, when we did get a post further explaining it, there was again, no “need” for it. It was done as something which he / Anet thought would be good. Look again at the post. He states in his first paragraph that there is no “need” whatsoever to change reset day.
Hello All,

This change will give our team an extra day of the week that they can use to respond to issues that may occur with WvW or any other area of the game if it is necessary. In the early days we wanted reset to be during a weekday to ensure we had people available to monitor the game at reset time, but at this point we have seen the ongoing stability of World vs. World and resetting on a weekday is no longer necessary.
The following is also not a need, but an opinion about what is best for WvW. This is a developers opinion.
However, given the concerns posted here we will be moving the Saturday reset to earlier in the day to give most players the majority of the day to enjoy the start of the new match. Immediately after launch the new time will be 11am PDT / 2pm EDT (6 pm UTC) for NA and 11am BST / 12 pm CEST (10 am UTC) for EU. Keep in mind that the following week with the end of Daylight Savings Time / Summer Time the reset times will be pushed even earlier to 10am PST/ 1pm EST and 10am GMT / 11am CET.
As mentioned so far, numerous times, this was even worse as no NA guilds will form up that early, and it alienates OCX/SEA players. It also gives the advantage to any NA server that has an EU guild with auto upgrades.
And now we get the truth:
Hello All,
Launching a game is an enormous undertaking and our teams need time to address any issues that come up. Therefore after launch we must move WvW reset to Saturday. We will keep resets on Saturday to address issues and once we are in the clear we will evaluate the best time for WvW reset both for us as a company as well as for our players.
So, this has absolutely nothing to do with wanting more players to experience reset. This has everything to do with you guys not wanting to deal with WvW while you implement hot fixes during the first 24 hours. As I’m sure there will be a plethora of hotfixes needed as the week goes on, will pushing WvW back 24 hours really make a difference to your staff? I don’t see how that possibly will. There will still be a huge backlash from the WvW community from all the resets anyway as I’m sure the whole week will be full of resets. Regarding the new map alone, I’m sure there will be a ton of hotfixes that just have to do with the new boarderlands maps. The number of fixes will not change based on rolling back reset by 24 hours.
Since it is clear that we cannot pick a time that will work for everyone, we will be maintaining our original plan of shifting reset by 24 hours, to Saturday evening. That time was based on data for when prime time occurs in each region.
Thank you,
John
OF COURSE YOU CAN PICK A TIME THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE. Have you guys not read this thread? Leave reset time as it is. We all understand that you guys are rolling out a major expansion and a new map with all the bugs, exploits, and fixes that will come with it. I’m sure there are some major reasons that are justified with having the new map be released on Saturday. However, this should be a one time occurrence. The first week of WvW after HoT should be six days. Have reset go back to it’s usual time the week after. I think having a full week to work out the plethora of issues is a reasonable amount of time.

@Gaile
Is there a formal but simple way for ANet to poll WvW players what they want?
Give the process sufficient publicity & time for such a “Poll” to take place with a lot of transparency of where the favorable opinion is leaning to?
Also, the process would need to prevent abusive voting…
Like setup an NPC in WvW somewhere that will take a players vote?
Use the WvW Forum here to create the question & define the choices.
We could use this mechanism in the future in helping to decide other things that impact the WvW Community.
(edited by Diku.2546)
If we’re stuck with Saturday reset for now, please change it back to Friday as soon as possible.
Gaile and John,
What the anet dev team needs to learn from this episode is that the WvW community makes real life chnages to their play schedule in order to accustom themselves to be able to play reset. From what you would have seen in the posts here, many people are really unhappy because the change in reset effectively means one day less of useful gametime on a weekend. For wvw community to have one less day of gameplay, this would also ultimately translate directly or indirectly to lesser income for anet.
Unless you give the community something else to do on Friday nights, over time you will probably see fewer and fewer people logging in to play the game as they would migrate to other games to occupy what would have usually been reset day for them.
Do not simply expect the gamers, your customers, to adapt to your proposed changes because of your data findings etc. The number of negative posts is enough to tell you that the data may be incorrect. People make adjustments to their real life schedules to play the game, for such a big change to occur at a whim without consultation is a bad move.
Okay it makes more sense if it was to do with patches for the expansion, fair enough.
Thanks for the responses!
It seems clear at this point that moving reset to Saturday is non-negotiable for the time being. While this may upset many people, I think this is one of those times where we need to cut Anet some slack. They are pushing out their first expansion and want as many developers to be available as possible during the weeks post-launch to fix the inevitable series of bugs and exploits that come with any new content.
Is it a major inconvenience to some, yes. Is this the end of WvW, absolutely not. The sky is not falling people; the game will still run all seven days, whether you give up on some of them as “karma train days” or not. And as was stated, it may only be temporary.
Also, to those stating that this is a terrible change because of even more bloated queues, you do realize you are making a case FOR Anet to do this right? The idea of readjusting the server population caps was to spread people out and long queues would do just that.
also pls pls fix reset i meen is second time when Far Shiverpeaks is vs servers who are on 12and 13 place… this mu is pathetic Far Shiverpeaks vs Augury Rock vs Elona Reach and on 11-18 September: Far Shiverpeaks vs Augury Rock vs Abaddon’s Mouth
I think most of us realized that the move was due to wanting to devote all staff to the PvE rollout. If that was said at first you would still get salty commentary, but not to the extent you got with this random, last-minute announcement.

I didn’t start WvW until after I got my first toon to 80, which took some time. I don’t remember how long the WvW matches were at launch nor do I have any clue how many patches affected those early matches.
Would you entertain the thought of switching to 3, 4, 6 or 8 hour WvW matches similar to time slices and patch the xpac at the end of these matches? You can use the data from these matches to see whether time slice matches are accepted by the community.
After the xpac stabilizes, then go back to Friday one week matches if the community doesn’t like the time slice format.
I think the biggest mistake that Anet makes is that they look at this “data” across the game and not at WvW specifically. You have two distinct player bases with different wants and needs. What works for the PvE population may be different than what works for WvW. PvE players aren’t going to suddenly transform into WvW players (Trust US – We’ve tried) Saturday nights in my experience are pretty dead for WvW, at least in T1/T2. I think this community has been pretty clear what they want, and Anet’s response is that they are going to do what’s best for them.
If this is necessary to give time to address issues with the expansion that’s fine, but I honestly hope Anet will consider moving it back to Friday nights once things are sorted out. People have built their lives around this time for years, it works for people across the world. Friday resets are the highlight of the entire game for so many people – to announce a change that literally destroys resets a week before launch understandably has made a lot of people angry.
A proper beta that lasted a month or two for all the dlc minus the story would have saved you load of work for the launch. But you chose to only show parts of the first pve map. I have my own guess of why you didn’t want to beta test the dlc by the customers.
i love Anet change reset time (it’s sunday morning for me ).
coz i can play steam game at Saturday night :p on weekend
btw im sea player

Part of the appeal of WvW is the length of the matches, I feel. If you take away the permanence that includes, it starts becoming EotM with its 4 hour matches. You’ll find few in the WvW community who are in favor of another EotM.

Night capping has been an issue from the beginning and is still not fixed. It is the combination of the long matches, scoring, mismatched population/coverage and glicko ratings that have caused players to play less and less WvW as the week goes on. Time slice matches was one suggestion from the WvW CDI and with the current reset change there are OCX and SEA players who will be left with a large chunk of their free weekend time playing WvW when it most resembles EotM.
I understand your point Gaile that the comments should be constructive but that people are somewhat annoyed when these changes are dropped unexplained into a gamemode that is the definition of the Soon™ approach is surely not very surprising?
On point:
These changes really hit hard at a core facet of a community based gametype. Friday for WvW guilds is when everyone makes an effort to get online, end of the week, crack a beer, have a laugh with some guildies/friends; it’s at the core of WvW. Saturday a lot of people are out doing IRL stuff.
More on point:
I could write a small book here about why these changes aren’t ideal but it’s nothing that hasn’t been mentioned already in this thread. I’m sure it will be reevaluated, soon no doubt.

I agree with this.
Please consider moving it back to Friday as this is when it made the GAMERS happy. Your CUSTOMERS. If you don’t have customers, you don’t have anything. I play all aspects of the game but I spend the majority of my time in WvW. Your PvE gets boring after time, especially if you have multiple characters such as I do, no matter how much you guys put into it. The fights and strategy of fighting other players has made me WANT to play this game and CONTINUE playing it. This is where I have built most of my friendships from all across the world. I play a LOT of hours in WvW across all time zones. The thing that will work is for you to move our reset back to Fridays as they have been the entire history of GW2. This is what works for us. Your players. That is why you see such outrage and ticked off people. Your numbers that you show are from megaservers, am I correct? Are they WvW specific? I highly doubt that. Just let the WvW players have our Friday resets back and the backlash will stop. It is as simple as that. WvW players and their requests are one thing that Anet has gotten wrong time and time again. Don’t screw it up worse for us. We are a very dedicated fan base and MANY of the WvW’ers are not going to play the other aspects of your game. They don’t want to. In fact, I have heard a lot of them vocalize that they despise PvE. So, why make them any more unhappy? Just leave WvW reset time alone and we will go back to playing our favorite aspect of the game. Thank you.

The need for the change has been explained by John
Reasons Explained by John:
- “the overall quality of the game”: This confuses me. Balance patches and QoL updates change the quality of the game. The last 24-36 hours of WvW matchups are some of the most boring times in this game, and this change makes those times Friday night and Saturday morning/afternoon, right where you claim your playerbase is largest. The majority of players that I’ve spoken with have said that this change means they’ll be doing other things besides Guild Wars in those time slots, losing you playerbase.
- “the emergent gameplay that has come from reset”: Yes, and this emergent gameplay persists throughout the weekend, as shown by your own data sets. Moving reset to Saturday cuts in half the amount of “emergent gameplay” that will take place. See next bullet.
- “We have many more players logging in on Saturday than on Friday”: I would hedge my bets that Friday night is a close second to this, and that is solely because of reset. If you change reset to Saturday you will see Friday attendance plummet, and Saturday attendance rise minimally if at all.
- “give our team an extra day of the week that they can use to respond to issues that may occur with WvW or any other area of the game if it is necessary”: What…? Moving reset to an even more popular time slot almost guarentees there will be more issues than before. Seeing as this time slot is also not one of the five typical work days in a week how does this help anything? I totally sympathize with your want to fix bugs early, but if you want that then you need to be around when the bugs are happening. You claim to want the “ongoing stability of World vs. World”, yet every current reset night (and a large portion of non reset nights) your servers struggle to handle the amount of players.
If you truly are going to revise this decision shortly after HoT drops then that makes it a little bit more bearable, but in no way do I, or my guildies, or pretty much any other regular WvW’er that I’ve interacted with since this idea surfaced think that Saturday should become the norm for reset.
First I agree , Gaile needs a keg of wine, cause she has been there for us for years.
However , changing reset for blah blah blah blah reason, is just a way to say , we really dont care about wvw, we never have , and we never will. spend 1 hour in wvw defending , 1 hour in pve , and 1 hour in pvp, and tell me what kind of rewards you made. I get it , you can spend an hour in wvw in a zerg outmanning the other team and get bags, gg good for you, you zerged down a grp trying to defend their bl.
The change to the reset time is yet another reason in a long list of reason to make me explore other game modes .
and before you all say it , yeah I am rank 2114 in wvw, and I earned that in bl maps not in some cheap ktrain in eotm.
My guild has already decided we will not run in wvw for reset , we will wait and run raids on Friday nights,
Personally I’m glad that they are moving reset to Saturday as, being on the west coast, I don’t get out of work until reset hits when we aren’t in daylight savings time. I came back to the game earlier this year and was excited once we had our time change because it meant I could finally make reset in time. I was getting really bummed I wouldn’t be able to make reset anymore so this is a welcome change. However, 10AM on a Saturday is absolutely ridiculous. Do not make reset that early the day please. Keep it at night like it currently is. I know a lot of my guild (on a T1 server mind you) wasn’t too bothered by it until you announced it was going to be so early in the day. Make reset Saturday or even Sunday if you wish but PLEASE do not change the time of day. (And yes I do understand you guys are planning to put it back for now but please leave it that way)
Anet wanna kick wvw player to play PvP
and make “Guild wars 2 PvP Worlds Championship 2016”
who care wvw player feeling ?
Aent : i dont care . i have "DATA "
data data :p
Hello All,
Launching a game is an enormous undertaking and our teams need time to address any issues that come up.
Hi John,
OK we understand you need this shift for HoT launch. Why not just consider a different arrangement for 1 or 2 weeks only? If this new reset time/day is left in place for “some time”, we’re confident that it will end up being like dungeons that never get a real fix.
Constructive feedback would be great for an innovative change. This change is simply a convenience shift, nothing innovative here to benefit the community. I’m sure the community would really appreciate it if you could change if for a week or two and then change it back to Fridays. Surely bugs would be ironed out by then, unless you are serving us a half baked BETA on release. But if that’s not enough then even 4 weeks…but put a time-frame / plan on it.
There is little left to imagination when you guys openly say in your interviews that players come to play PvE! There is a decent population that does enjoy WvW and doesn’t really care about the PvE stuff. Let them enjoy the game too!
Thank you!
Will any of the following issues be considered when finalizing the reset time (I don’t believe there has been any developer response in regards to these)?
- Extreme reduction in WvW participation in the 24 hours prior to Saturday night reset (in comparison to the old reset time of Friday night).
- As per above, noticeable overall reduction in WvW participation since those 24 hours aren’t going to be made up elsewhere (the slight increase in Saturday night activity, and relatively unchanged activity elsewhere, won’t outweigh the massive decrease in activity over that 24 hour period between Friday night and Saturday night)
- Comparatively larger reduction in ‘weekend nights’ for the OCX/SEA population on NA servers (essentially only Sunday night now, and they can’t play late either if they have work or school on the Monday).

There are only 3 times in WvW:
- 1. The times you have nothing you can do and get discouraged… either completely outmanned on the field or so far behind that there is no point (or reward) for even trying.
- 2. The times you have nothing to do and get disappointed… either getting no resistance/fights or so far ahead that there is no point other than mindless karma training.
- 3. The times where your involvement seems to matter, and you might actually have fun… This happens most AT reset and during primetime because the scores are low and the participation is pretty even on all sides.
By moving karma-train Friday to Saturday, you give people with lots of freetime no reason to play WvW… the outcome is already decided, the enthusiasm is low, and you’ve been fighting the same people all week (or 12 weeks). If you hurt attendance on Saturday, you hurt WvW. I’ve seen commanders boast about commanding 10, 12, 15+ hours straight… because it was the weekend, and because it mattered. If Saturday is turned into a day that doesn’t matter, why would anyone do that anymore?
I look at it this way. If you need to move the reset day that’s fine, but don’t kill our weekend. That is the time most of us can play
Thanks for these insights. I believe you’re looking at things logically, and I appreciate that.
Someone please send Gaile a big bottle of wine? This doesn’t appear to be a one glass day.
I’m ok, Jayne. But thanks for thinking of that — very thoughtful!
…cut Anet some slack.
We cut Anet some slack for 3 years.
How much more?
Is this ever going to end, we cuting some slack, Anet never?
Here’s what the Heart of Thorns release will look like for WvW:
The new round will run until the new reset times on Saturday, then end and update Glicko ratings. After it comes up again, WvW will be running as “normal” except for the changed reset times and the new Desert Borderlands.
Does this mean that they’re actually going to adjust glicko ratings based on a matchup that lasts only one day and where most people will be playing the new PvE content?
I read the OP as saying this week (of 6 days) won’t count at all, while the one day matchup from friday to saturday will count as a whole week. Doesn’t make any sense though.
In back-reading it would appear that the reset time will not be changed, just the day. So the following (listed under “spoiler”) concerning different reset times isn’t quite relevent. Nice to keep though.
NA servers primarily cater for NA, OCX and SEA players. Have the EU servers reset at a time suitable for EU players… In looking at the timezones covered the current Reset time is ideal.
Current (night reset): 18:00 US West / 21:00 US East / 09:00 SEA / 12:00 OCX. Given 3-4 hrs US East goes to sleep and SEA goes for lunch. End of prime time Reset.
Proposed (afternoon reset): 11:00 US West / 13:00 US East / 02:00 SEA / 05:00 OCX. If times are changed to this, 1 hr into reset and US West starts leaving for lunch, SEA is almost dead, and OCX is dead.
A morning reset doesn’t work as it’s either stupidly early for the NA players (6am start) or stupidly late for the OCX/SEA players (Midnight start).
An evening reset doesn’t really work either as it would be stupidly early for SEA players, and early for OCX players (waking up early on a weekend… >,>).
Concerning the day, and echoing what many others have said, Reset is the time when the most action occurs as the scores are wiped (even footing, what you do actually makes an impact) and people are free (generally resulting in more balanced sides). We currently get Friday night and the 2 days of the weekend (just the weekend for SEA/OCX) to play before the scores have much of a chance to get too skewed and people have to start getting ready for the new week. In shifting Reset by 24 hrs, everyone essentially loses a day, as the time before reset is generally dead due to the skewed scores.
On the rare occasions that the match up is close, this change would be great, BUT those match ups are few and in between made even rarer by teams in the surrounding tiers displacing the well matched teams when they keeping losing/winning…
In the short run this 24 hr shift kind of works, as it gives a day to mess around with the new HoT content before worrying about the coming weeks WvW.
Doubt adding a second/multiple Reset times would work as the time the majority of players have time to play is on the weekend. This means you’d either have a Reset that doesn’t mean much as the scores wipe soon after, or you’d end up with a Reset with a relatively low player count as people aren’t available to play.
Since the majority of us don’t have insight into how the company is run, commenting on the working week is a bit difficult. Anyway, if you shift it be Sun-Thurs might that not create logistical issues?
