agree. wvw is garbage now
LOL. Yea let the bots sit there while I kill them. J Season, there are tons of people who don’t roam in zergs and like small scale fights. People will roam around the points and work together when they are online.

I could be wrong, I didnt’ have much time to test before TC 20 man zerged everything.
Oh, maybe it’s because they have to hold it for some time before they get the buff, maybe that’s what I was seeing.

I agree. After seeing the ruins, it’s fertile ground and incentive to bot. Using perma stealth thief or regen warrior. With 3 borderlands per server, the GMs / Dev will not be able to monitor. Who would want to stand in ruins and miss all the fights and action.

Stealth doesn’t count towards capping points, they shouldn’t count for these either. If they do, it should be reported as a bug.

^^ you are right about stealth not capping. Maybe I should explain further how a script can work here.
After capping a ruin, run a script looping perma stealth for thief while having a red name (enemy) detection in it. When red name appears, sound alarm on computer and the botter mans that account to harass players to prevent recap.
This means that you use 5 accounts but only one real person to manage the ruins. If any particular ruin is swamped by zerg, thief can stealth and run away and recap when zerg leaves. This is really very easy to code and kindergarten stuff for botters.
If they have yet to fix the teleport and underground hacks, we are in deep kitten .
The ruins will most likely be abused by hackers and botters and soon people will not bother to cap them and just use brute force and zerg numbers as per before patch. Apart from the top 3 to 5 servers, the majority will not have the numbers or players willingly to sacrifice WXP, karma and loot bags to manually station at ruins.
I recommend Anet hire a psychologist to study players wvw play patterns.

Are you serious? Players have to specifically waste their time sitting on a ruin point or else it will slowly time out. I wouldn’t call that engaging content for the 60-70% of the day when WvW is semi-dead for most servers. Let’s roll out the carpet for…. AFK WvW players, BOTS, and more!
Not to mention there’s no personal reward for sitting on a point for an extended period of time.
No. You don’t have to sit there. The capture point simply decays when you (logically) choose not to sit there bored.
Your complaining misses the point of why it decays!

Yup, but if another opposing player walks into the square and stands there alone, he can flip it. If nobody wanders by, then you keep it .. but how likely is that?
