Like what we have in PvP, we need it for WvW!

I’m am soo sick of asking myself WTF just happened. If we could review and look back at what killed us it might relive some of the rage that comes along with dying to WTF?!

Also better ping would go along want to helping too, but I’m guessing that’s impossible with current technology.

There is a combat log.

Yes, in the chatwindow you can “tab” to the combat log and you can specifiy what info you would like to show up there. It isn’t perfect, but usually helps me in those wtf moments.

Ping: what’s your ping and where do you live? Ping is more or less the distance between you and the gameserver. I am living in central europe playing on NA server and my ping is 170-180. No problems with playing wvw with that ping.

I even have outgoing and incoming damage on my tabs.

I prefer the pace of WvW. I find sPvP too much of a mindless sustain game insofar as most often people just don’t die.

Actually, we’re seeing it right now on the bunker druid. In sPvP, it’s just worse because pretty much every class does it and does it more effectively since power damage is nerfed as a stat relative to WvW.

Unlike sPvP, you cannot faceroll your keyboard and just tank incoming attacks aside from on a few select (and quite frankly, broken) builds. It demands a faster pace and prior to HoT, was way more interesting and diverse because of it; damage builds actually worked unlike in sPvP, but carried a corresponding amount of risk.

Not damage appears in logs, especially damage from mesmers

And Rink, my ping is an average of 220, playing from NZ (new zealand). i have just come back to the game after playing a few months of Overwatch at only 40 ping.

Its a hard pill to take coming back… believe me.

As others have said, set up your combat log channel. In addition, I actually have 3 of them. You can choose different types of damage, different messages, etc. My 3 channels I have set up for damage received + deaths, damage dealt + kills, and misc, anything that doesn’t fit into either damage category I put there.

This gives me exactly and precisely what you are looking for. When I need to or want to check something I just do it.
