When I made it to level 60 early this year with my first character, my server was in last place in NA, and I had wvw map completion within the next month. Yes, it does take some persistence, but it is entirely doable. I don’t really see your complaint as being viable, especially when the only real reward is a cosmetic one.

So the map completion is to get players into WvW to try it and hopefully some might stay. Ok, fair enough.

I’ve tried WvW when I got Map Completion on my main and hated every second of it and haven’t been back (except using the portal). Wish I didn’t have to suffer it again and again on alt’s if I’ve tried and not enjoyed. Pity WvW maps aren’t optional 2nd, 3rd, 4th time around where WvW’s can do those and don’t have to do 4 World Maps or something to balance their claims of hatred of doing PvE world maps for map completion.

proviticus.4183 if your on the higher ranked server then reset should be when you go (not home map), everything is paper and the attacking servers usually manage to cap Garry and Sunny/Crag under the first 2-3hours, and ofc Bay/hills.

As everyone here probably knows, WvW is required if you want to have your map 100% completed. This is obviously another attempt of arenanet to make endgame that doesn’t exists at first place. Some of you probably wonder why do I even write this?

Let me begin by saying how Underworld’s WvW sucks and how often I die. Underworld is known as worst WvW server on planet.

I have no intentions to grind for WvW gear, even if I did, I wouldn’t be able to kill anyone since NOBODY plays WvW on underworld.
NOBODY. Yes, you read it correctly. Whiteside Ridge’s borderlans are totally empty. I bet these guys got bored of playing WvW alone and owning everything.

“Buy some gems and transfer to server which has good WvW reputation”. Are you serious? Money doesn’t fall from the sky, specially if you live in poor EU country like I do. Not everyone lives in America ffs!!! I can’t afford transfer.

If you think that making a WvW required for map completion is good idea, you are terribly wrong. This is worst idea someone could come up with.

All you do is forcing players to play WvW against their will and insulting them, only because you think its cool to have PoIs in WvW forts? Lame. (Try to feel being me, trying to do map completion on worst WvW server. Just feel me!)

This is my feedback to you. I know every game needs some, but hey, game is made out of people who play it and as member of such community I have full rights to express myself.

WvW rotates, basically you’ll be red, blue and green at some point making map completion easy.

I’m not a fan of the map completion but WvW shouldn’t be a problem.

If your server never wins or loses, you will never be able, logically, to get to the map completion points without help from the other side.

I’ve seen it happen… but getting it to happen? Not easy.

There are totaly legal overlays! Use them and you will see if something flipped what you want
