WvW fps getting worse?
What are your culling settings?
I’m pretty sure, every modern system would break down in a full SMC battle with culling disabled entirely and high rez textures.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.
Your client is rendering way more models than it was prior to the culling change.
What is your WvW character limit and character quality set to? I would personally recommend playing around with the WvW character quality setting. Most people have mentioned that “Low” (not “Lowest”, as it doesn’t show character animations) results in much better performance without much of a noticeable reduction in character model quality (compared to High or Highest).
Also, turning off Shadows and/or Reflections will help quite a bit.
You should be getting Much higher fps with that.Although with zerg vs zerg, everybody suffers from low fps,but i think you should be able to do better then 5 – 10 with your hardware. How are your ingame settings ?
Reflections – turn them to off or terrain only.
Shadows – Turn them to medium
WvWvw character limit/quality – Put these to either Medium or Low or a mix.
I have the same cpu,oc’d to 4.8 ( You Need to oc that bulldozer, theyre made for it ) ..but with 2x gtx560ti @ 925mhz,.I rarely pay attention to my fps in zergs ( to busy fighting and such.. ) but i know i can manage 20fps in a huge zerg, and only really sufer from those awefull delays on skills. Is your crossfire working properly aswell ?
My build is with an ATI 5850 non reference model with 1GB of VRAM.
CCC settings set to performance and GW2 settings mostly set to low. WVW culling set
high, and LOD set medium.
In large massive zerg battles, I dip into the 10-14 fps. In medium zerg battles,
around 30-45 fps. Small battles, about 70 and up. Only using around 150+300 MB of VRAM.
I am using old AMD Drivers 11.x
I read that Worlds v Worlds is CPU heavy.
