Guild Wars 2

I play GW2 because of WvW and with all the new changes made to WvW all you read about are the complaints. Why doesn’t Anet consider the people playing the game and how we feel about the changes. Eventually WvWers are going to be a dying breed. I understand Anet wanting people to enjoy the whole game including wvw, pvp and pve but if people enjoy what they are doing, why change it?

Now i am hearing rumors (so they say) about this new Alliance that is coming. Is that really fair to the servers that dont have enough people to have guilds join other guilds (especially when they dont have enough people in their guild to begin with). Doesnt Anet realize that the tier 1 and tier 2 servers already have their guilds in place to forum a so called Mega Alliance. Could you imagine Tier 1 server combining their guilds to an alliance going up against an Alliance that can barely sustain WvW. I dont like what is happening and unfortunately there will be alot of players either leaving the game or leaving WvW. Instead of forming an Alliance where you will have the best of the best guilds in one Alliance, just merge the nonpopulated servers together, NOT the guilds.

Well I dont know what is happening with this game and frankly im sad about it. Sad because it seems like Anet is not listening to the people that play what they enjoy. . I have seen Dev’s in WvW but their in EBG, why not play in the borderlands you created.

Just sadden by what is happening to WvW and ending something i enjoy playing.

I think or at least hope what is meant by alliances is server alliances. I must say tho guild alliances is a decent idea IF they implement alliance chat along with guild chat and it plays no part in the make-up of the teams. Alliance chat would hopefully bring all the small guilds together and possibly even help them obtain a guild hall (providing they don’t change rep’ing, and gawd knows it seems we have to expect the worst with any changes these days).

Alliances was a feature of the original Guild Wars… One that I liked a lot. I’m all for it personally.

Anet listens to metrics, and the metrics say WvWers really love PvE. So lets add more PvE to WvW! As I argued before, their metrics show WvWers in PvE because the abysmal rewards in WvW. You’d have a hard time sustaining your WvW needs through WvW alone.

Instead of better rewards, we got dinosaurs and gimmicky environmental mechanics that distract from actual fights.

One big complaint from us, one giant headache for anet.

WvW was supposed to be a main selling point of the game, but Anet just havent been able to keep up. The dont have the resources, money, manpower for it. This has been seen and admitted by the devs.

The state of WvW is that they’d rather see it die and replace it with something else, as is evident with the alliance vs alliance thing.

Some players may like it, some may not. Either case is that WvW is removed from the game entirely.

I know the time is coming when WvW will die altogether and Anet will be happy. It is really ironic when the name of the game is Guild Wars, not Guild PvE, not Guild Kills NPC. The sole reason for playing this game is because of WvW and now im guessing my sole reason to play Rainbow Siege 6 and other games is because Anet has a blind fold on and cant be bothered by how much they failed with WvW.

I recently rediscovered the Dev Tracker… yeah, I don’t know why… it makes me sad. Anyways, I see how response is given in so many other places. Most of those are full of nice posts to Devs. If we ever hope to get any real response from them we’ll have to start being nice… yeah, I couldn’t even type that with a straight face… :/

As far as seeing Devs actually in EBG or the borderlands… nope, never seen one. I did see an Anet guild ram on wurm gate at bay… that was a loooooong time ago.

The few times I’ve seen an Anet tag in WvWvW, I don’t recall them not being in a blob.

Same here, funny enough they played on Blobbadon, the irony.

I bought HoT because I thought they were going to improve WvW, but instead they made it worse! Much much worse, like x1000 worse.

They should just revert all the WvW maps to the old maps, because the new ones are a ghost town.

Raid is the only redeemable thing right now, but even that is getting boring and the weekly reset does not help its case, I’m eagerly awaiting Wing 2.

I like that they changed to a new map. The thing I hate is that nothing has been done to fix it since release. Like nothing at all, not even any little quality of life fixes. Sure it needs a redesign like really badly but are they doing anything? Maybe who knows… Its been months without a peep from them.

There was that one red name that trolled the GvG guilds on one of the borderlands. I think they only WvW in plain tags so they can troll and not get noticed.

Complaints seem to be overwhelming
Raids can’t explain all the population loss
Oblivious to the fact this is a highly desired pvp form online
Wvw is dying scream the masses
Failures include Pve maps EotM and desert borderlands
Arenanet seems to have abandoned this form
Last ditch effort with rumoured Alliances
Luckily, there may be hope else on the interwebs

Well TBH, at least you have a good chance of seeing other players on the forums.
