Q:

I may the only one with this concern but I have seen WvW transfers that appear to weaken one world and over strengthen another. It would APPEAR that the current policy of transfer will strengthen already strong worlds and make what MIGHT have been silver worlds no more than bronze while over loading servers they transfer to. they will suffer longer waits to get into WvW and easily have overpowering numbers since many of the WvW players transferred there. NOR should loot be different since it is not the players fault that they are silver or bronze server and chose to not transfer. I can go on with a long list of inequalities that arenanet is developing with the seasons protocol that are NOT going to help with WvW balance of play in long run OR server load. Just a concern for me that COULD make playing the game more difficult.

That’s why they have a very cost-prohibitive server transfer fee, especially for the high-population ones.

I totally understand where you’re getting at – I just don’t see any viable solution

If you don’t introduce any sense of tiered rewards for seasons, then what’s the point?
If you don’t introduce a season/tournament, then we have very little to play for and it’ would be the same game as it is in release? At least this provides some excitement

The server transfer fee is a pile of kitten. It has nothing to do with ranking. Why am I on the most expensive server to transfer to but the 2nd lowest rank? Can’t find 20 people on the homeland during prime time. You think the fee is helping anyone?

The most populated servers have the most gold to offer to offset the fee, the biggest kill counts which translates to: more loot bags, more WvW ranks, which give more loot, more achievement points, which give more loot and hey, if you pick the right of the top 3, you get a league reward as well. At some point, transferring to tier 1 is less a cost and more an investment.

At this point, I’m ready to say if bronze league players got a flat out daily gold reward for being homed on their server, it’d just about even things out.

People who are in tier 1 and see no point in playing unless ArenaNet steps in and gives them further rewards are not anything I stop and worry about, honestly.

I said this in the collaborative post, but I personally want to see 24 balanced servers. PvE server does not have to equal the WvW server.
