WvW jumping puzzle
It’s a bit annoying, but everytime I see that I just think to myself
“Better here than on the battlefield”
Remove JP from WvW, problem solved. No free siege, badges, camping.

I hear you on the frustration, but to be honest, it’s quite a rush when you have two (or more!) groups duking it out in there, trying to jump, race to the top, and not die at the same time. I find normal JPs quite boring, but the WvW ones rarely are. I wouldn’t mind seeing them get their own /map channel though – they don’t have alot to do with tactical discussion on whatever map they’re a part of, and can be quite distracting.

I would be fine with them keeping the jp in WvW… just have the final chest give 3 siege and a couple of greens.
No more jumping for PvP badges (most don’t even jump, and just ask for a mesmer portal). Whoever thought that would be a good idea to be in the jumping chests has hopefully been fired for incompetence.
Take those badges and put them in as extra rewards for capturing keeps/towers/camps, etc… you know… actually doing WvW…
Take out the WvW→PvE related farming buffs as well. Instead of increased drops rates for the people NOT participating, put in more drops in WvW for the participants.
These are very obvious things that should have been changed a long time ago. -.-

I’d rather them waste their siege being built in JP’s than anywhere actually effective. Just saying….if they have siege in the jumping puzzle, go laugh and take one of their towers or keeps where that siege woulda been. You might actually get some badges in the process!

The biggest issue is siege at the top of the arena. There are successful counters to this but it involves either a) your server massing and just zerging the top (ArenaNet <3 it’s zerg’s) b) a quick mesmer with the Mad King Backpack running past invisible and teleporting people up 3) building counter siege.
It is a fail on ArenaNet’s behalf.
They have traps you can activate through out the puzzle but are completely useless when compared to setting up siege.
Siege shouldn’t be in the puzzle other than that, anything goes. My guess however is that the coding for removing it from WvW in the JP only is complicated.
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
How is it a fail on ANet’s behalf? It is in WvW. Siege is in WvW, ergo, siege is in the JP. Do you not like it? Yeah, it gets in the way of jumping to farm free WvW rewards. But, if you want WvW benefits, you should be prepared to do WvW. Siege should stay there. If you really want to do the JP that badly instead of fighting to take keeps, or towers, or camps, than be prepared to fight other players. It is, after all, in a player versus player environment. ’Nuff said.
There are too many posts of people whining wishing they could farm WvW rewards without doing WvW and how its not fair to have WvW in a JP, even though it gives WvW rewards, and it’s just silly. It is in WvW. Do I like it when people camp it? No. But when they do, I leave the puzzle and go help my server, not wipe 20 times then write a forum post declaring JP’s in a WvW environment, which give WvW benefits, should be void of all WvW.
There is a simple solution. If they get rid of siege, and make it a PvE environment, it should only give PvE rewards like all the other puzzles. That means, no badges, no siege. Just greens and blues and maybe a rare. PvE rewards for a PvE environment. And if that was the case, would you still try to farm the JP?
