Extremely long queus + massive lag + low fps —> Cannot really say I enjoy.

In WvW, the enemy is always in one big blob of around 100 players. Vizunah and Desolation as least. So the battles are fought pretty often in massive lagfest where activating a skill can take 10s + fps is so low that with the lag it is hard to understand what actually happens. The only good thing I can think is that you can feel when the enemy is near you, even if you do not see them.

I think it would be nice to be able to drop gfx settings a lot more.

Maybe smaller battlegrounds, but 2-4x the amount, like for each server 2-3 maps to defend. Or this to scale for only the servers that have very high WvW population.
Or additional dynamic Ethernals when the queues are getting long enough.
Maybe impossible to do, and actually I do not care in the end how you would fix it. But I think something has to be done.

I know also that I am not the only one in my guild who thinks this is an issue.

go to a lower pop server then iv never had a wait time since the first few months of game release and to be honest the pvp in wvw is better that way your gonna quit the game if you have to sit for 20 min before being able to play. look at WoW lost what was it 1.5 million subscribers

I am playing in a guild of 454 members + alliance. I cannot unfortunately move them all.

I am on medium sized server, should I move to another medium sized server?

Also, if the infra is making it possible to have 200-300 players in one battle and then the HW cannot do it. I think that all did not go as planned in the first place.

Transfer servers. None of the problems you are having happen on lower tier servers. You can make all the excuses you want for why you shouldn’t have to transfer, but at the end of the day, no one, including Anet, wants the top tier servers to be massively bogged down by excessive populations.

Like I said, I am on medium server. Unfortunately, our medium server has very long queue times, yes, still and always.

The Anet could move guilds and alliances as whole to silent servers. This could be an answer to the queues.

The lag on WvW servers would still not be fixed.

SFR are top server in EU at the moment, and have always been a wvw force(compared to server population) so to say your medium pop is pointless. You have spent longer in tier1 wvw then most(bar like 4servers) since game started. So realise you have long Qs and move further down the tiers. SIMPLES

To the people telling OP to xfer:

That is not a solution. That’s a bandage. Anet fixing the skill lag/huge FPS drop is the solution.

The ’transfer servers’ argument is awful.

I can sympathize with OP as I am feeling the exact same about T1 US. I didn’t transfer into this massive zergball, lagfest meta game that T1 has become.

When I joined SoR it was still #17 and in tier 6, slowly overtime the server has grown, moving up the ranks and acquiring new players. It is natural progression and what every server strives for. I love the community and players on this server, everyone has put in their time into making SoR what it is today. I do not want to leave.

I would say the transfer option is more for the queue issue. Something I don’t think really can be fixed in any tier if your server has more on when you want to play.

Oh yes they do. I play on Ring of Fire, a T7 EU server and I gave up playing on EB tonight. The Q time to get into EB wasn’t so bad, but I simply could not get my skills to work. A 3-way fight in the SM lord room on a low tier group has the same mechanics and population of a top tier grouping.

The difference between top tier server groups, and lower tier server groups is not player skill or player population. The difference is the 24/7 coverage on the top servers.

Culling may be gone but that has only made the lag problems worse.
