After a months I’ve started to play WvW again.
Now it’s still fun but I’m starting to wonder about the pulls in WvW.
A couple of times I was standing on the walls in the keep or on the towers without being able to hit the enemy players (carrying a longbow) either because I’m out of range or my target is obstructed.
However the enemy still seems to be able to pull me towards the front of the wall and in one case right into the giant zerk.

What’s up with that, is there an update granting players a large boost in pull range or is there anything else that I’m missing.

There’s a mesmer focus skill that can pull people without line of sight. It doesn’t always work though.

Yeah you mean Temporal Curtain with Into the Void.
That explains a bit but the range of it isn’t greater then a longbow so I might not have a spotted that so who knows.
Still think it’s kinda weird.

I think you should be able to shoot downward without it being “out of range” or obstructed by that little lip. If I can see my target, it should not be obstructed. Having to jump on that little ledge is goofy and any pull can get you from there.

Yeah that’s logical but I wasn’t standing on the ledge I was standing on the far side so at the innerside of the wall .
And it’s not just me a buddy of mine also had a couple of wtf moments so I’m just wondering what’s up with that.

The radius on the pull is more than enough to drag you even if you’re on the back edge of the wall. You won’t go over the ledge in that case but you’ll be AoE fodder though :P

A somewhat common way is to chain pull from a couple or more mesmers. I occasionally use the rarely seen and frequently temperamental scorpion wire when a player is getting a bit courageous.

Rampage as One for stability. And yes, it appears even though there’s technology like Golems in WvW, the walls were design be laymen.
