Hello everyone. I’m a casual player (don’t play GW2 much) and on Seafarer’s Rest server. For the past 3 weeks I tried to play on WvW and managed to enter only once for this whole time (queued 7-8 times). Mostly I waited for 3 hours in a queue and then logged out, because it’s way to ridiculous to wait that long just to play a game. Is it same on other servers or it’s unique for SFR? Have these issues been addressed already?

I think the issue rests in how the “Queue” works. First off the queue is due to the number of players from your server active in the borderland(there is a player cap) you are queuing for, note just the borderland you are queuing in, for example EB can be queued while your BL is not. (this is not the problem)

The issue starts when many people enter the “queue”, as it is not a traditional queue.
If 5 people queued before you this does not mean after those 5 get in you do. I have queued many times and took me hours to get in while I watched many guildies after me queue and get in within minutes. What this means is the are using a random number generator of sorts, so imagine you enter the queue as the 15th person every x interval your name is pulled out of a hat, so to speak, if people are constantly entering the queue you could get in sooner, or depending on your luck it could take forever.

If you are having trouble queuing try queuing/entering other BL’s, as their is a good chance that BL is full, but another is open, or has a much shorter queue.

Transfer down, problem solved.

I wish they’d grant priority to players that have never transferred…
Lots of people coming to SFR since we are being successful in wvw and then we’re having trouble playing / raiding because of it.

US players should play on EU server with weak night coverage. Maybe lower queue(but depending on their matchups and enemies it there might be nothing more than PvD – only good for smaller groups and guilds – but then again… if a lot transfered to all different servers all those servrs would have a better night force… and maybe some from EU to US as well).

It’s all due the reward system that made people leave weaker servers for those that were really good in WvW.

Which destroys both groups servers WvW experience.
It was sadly kinda grave mistake on ANet’s side. They wanted to encourage people to play in WvW and they make so big disbalance that people rage quit.
