As it is in world vs world there are many bugs, but above all there’s a lack of reward for defensive play. Other things need changing also.

Escorting a Dolyak should give a decent reward. I don’t think there is one currently, and that’s why if I just run across the map I can disrupt enemy supplies for free.

Defending a tower even when there isn’t an attacker should have some sort of reward. If you stand in a front line tower for X period of time there should be something for it.

That’s the defensive play covered fairly much. These guys need something for their efforts.

Then there’s issues surrounding night capping. I have no issue with it. It’s a 24/7 battlefield. However where it gets unfair is with population imbalance. There needs to be a way to scale the scoring based on your population relative to the other servers. I’m not convinced it’s fair for a server with 10 people to hold 1/4 of the map and get less points than a server with 50 people holding 1/3 of the map. Not sure how to implement this fairly either though. Hopefully all servers will get a decent 24 hour population so this doesn’t need changing.

And finally the obvious bugs.

Keep wall jumping bug needs rid of.
Orb hacking.
Invisible enemies may be working as intended, but it isn’t good. Yesterday I moved forward and I couldn’t see an enemy Charr Guardian until he was using his GS ability 2 right on top of me. It makes classes without huge AoE quite dull in WvW because you can’t even go ‘hue meteor shower there, it’s bound to hit something’, you just look around and go ?

As well as that, is WvWvW the right way? I don’t want a 1vs1 WvW but is 3 servers good or would a larger number be better? That’s open for discussion.

It used to have a reward but was abused by bots so it’s been (temporarily) removed. Blame the gold farmers for that one.

Didn’t know that. That’s a real shame because it discourages WvW being more tactical.

Only give a reward for defending dolyaks if you kill something along the way. That way, yaks that need defending will be defended and botters can’t bot.

After arguing with an engineer for a while, you begin to realize that he actually enjoys it.

Something like that should only exists for the ‘loosing’ sides.

They took away all rewards for ‘yak escorting, cuz that’s all that a bunch of people were doing, all the way to 80. Players ranted and screamed about it, so ANet took the rewards away. It wasn’t necessarily bots, just people who were after the easiest xp/karma gain.

Similarly, if you got points for defending an unattacked keep, can you imagine how many people would just hang out afk in the keep, taking up the limited queue spots?

i’m not sure what world you live in where people can’t make bots that will attack mobs
