when the season ends and I get the chest for my server what happens if I don’t get the key by the then. I returned to gw2 like a few days ago and am trying to do these achievements like a madman. But if i don’t get the key by december 6th is it game over for me?

WvW Season 1 Reward Chest Key
This key will unlock one WvW Season 1 Reward Chest containing rewards based on your server’s performance in the previous season.
WvW Season Reward Chests are awarded at the end of a WvW season to all players who achieved the meta-achievement for the season.

=> You won’t get any rewards

Don’t worry though, you can easily get the key within a few days (got mine within 2 days).

Obsidian Leaper in the Mists
Emerald Leaper in the Mists
Garnet Leaper in the Mists

If you really play like a madman it should be possible. It’s easier during the weekend though.

Mmmm 50 world ranks in 48 hours. Not impossible but you’re going to have to play a lot. 50 Supply camps might be tough too. Honestly, much of this will depend on the match your server is in this week and how actively things are trading hands and how active non-NA primetime is (assuming you can play during this times). I’m not sure, but some of them shouldn’t be too difficult to finish. You don’t need to complete ALL of them, just enough to get the key. GL on your quest for the key!

My guess is it will pop up at the bottom right similar to rank up chests, and will contain another chest that will appear in your inventory after clicking the accept button. Then double clicking that chest will open it and consume the meta achievement chest key, similar to Black Lion chests. If it works this way, those that haven’t completed the meta and don’t have their keys would still get a chest but wouldn’t be able to open it, which could be a bit like salt on a wound for some heh.
