WvW spies and saboteurs
Spies != Saboteurs though.
As for reporting them: Take screenshots and contact support.

Anet should ban all the people in this video also, behavior this stupid can only be sabotage.

The devs don’t care about WvW so I’m gonna kill players in PvE!

You’re right. I didn’t consider this, although I wouldn’t care if everybody knew who that guy was. But I fixed it. =)
I used to think it was saboteurs, but now I’ve realized that some people are just really big newbs.
There have been several times people have killed golems on my server because “Cmon guys I just wanted to fight in the golem! aren’t i awesome?” They usually have never driven a golem before and want to try to help somehow. So when they see that golem sitting there and hear about us attacking a tower… dead golem.
I feel like there should be a WXP rank requirement to use each piece of siege. Nothing too high, just people need to have reached rank 5 before they get the option to use it. This would give everyone a “training period” to see how each piece of siege is used by other people (unless they buy the siege themselves). This would get rid of 99 percent of the “that pug just stole my golem” incidents.

It should be possible to kick people from your Golem – dunno why not – you can with other siege.
Even better it should require some sort of permission.
And yeah, mostly ‘saboteurs’ are just over-enthusiastic newbs.
Spies are just griefers and should be reported and hopefully banned. It’s not as if they run any sort of risk when spying.

Wow… just wow…
I mean…. Personally, I can’t imagine how you could fail a golem rush with 41 golems (each golem hits the gate like once or twice and it’s down?), but apparently that’s how you do it lols. Someone even said “stack on comm”, yeah as if that’s gonna work when he’s standing under burning oil… Good one lol

personally…i think spies/derps like that should just stick to pve. unfortunately im sure there is nothing anet could do. they are not exactly committing any actual bannable offense. as unfortunate as it is…it happens to all of us. rarely on this magnitude. but it does happen. all you can do is hope for the best.
pvp = shopping at gucci n loui
wvw = shopping at walmart and costco
Something Anet could do is allow siege to be salvaged for something like blue print scraps, where enough blue print scraps can be used to create another siege blue print. I would see the system working like this: when a player builds a piece of siege, the builder is allowed to salvage that siege at any time to recover blue print scraps. If the player who built the siege does not use that particular siege for 30 mins, then other players besides the builder are also allowed to salvage the siege for blue print scraps. This way, siege that is useless after its purpose has been served such as flame rams can be salvaged by the building player immediately to reduce the total amount of siege on the battlefield. At the same time, if you have a troll on your server who builds 50 arrow carts somewhere useless, they must now continually run around and refresh each of those arrow carts themselves or risk having them salvaged by other players. This increases that amount of effort required to siege cap a server and at the same time, 30 mins after the troll decides to log off a server can remove the siege cap itself.
In our case I do not think it was a noob. They would not respond to pm’s, chat, map, teamspeak, or team chat. Also, after some of the golems were taken by random players, our commanders tried to place the golems out of sight. At least of one these saboteurs, whether a troll or a spy, kept searching the golems out and taking them.
So the question still remains, what do we report this as? Grand theft golem? I am really not sure. Its not botting, maybe scamming? Furthermore, there is no screenshot option, like when reporting a bug, when reporting a player (at least I don’t know about it). And I don’t believe “trolling” would be a viable option for reporting these people because it would be a slippery slope to get into.
And the same question goes for suspected spies, or people who admit they are spies. Unfortunately “eavesdropping” is not an option. Is it scamming?
So:
1. Add a screenshot option to the report function
2. Add a “Suspected Espionage”, or something like it, in the report option
People need to learn the difference between spying and sabotaging.
Spying is fully allowed by the game, whilst sabotaging is not.

Of course we know the difference. But I, and I guarantee you I am not the only one, think that both saboteurs and spies should be reportable. Both are unfair to the other teams, and should be looked down upon, not accepted.
But heck, if the official word from ANET is that both are kosher, my loyalty is for sale guys. I need $$ for my legendary. Contact me in game. ; )
They are reportable. As we have no player method of dealing with them (cant teamkill them over and over or kick them off our server).
Spies on the other hand are probably not reportable (at least the good ones) because they wont be doing anything a PuG wouldn’t be doing.
