I had an idea to change the whole concept of the point system of WvW. firstly the points for holding structures gives the server with off times the advantage/disadvantage. What if the “General” gave our world orders to our commanders, take this camp, tower ect ect. Completing these orders would give points to your home world as well as defeating enemy teams from accomplishing these missions. I’m not sure how this would be implemented but having more commanders with smaller squads of 10-15 people would be more valuable then a zerg of 40+.

It could be as easy as something like X world you have 15 minutes to take this 1b. Y world defend 1b camp for 15 minutes. Both servers would receive the orders at the same time to 1 commander on each server. The Third world would receive another order to take a different objective. This would change it to a dynamic style world.

Just an idea, to change up how things are, I also think it would be neat to be able to construct more things to change the environment. A wooden stockade barricade for a few supply would be neat for creating choke points where melee either have to destroy it or go around.

Just some thoughts I had, you may like it or hate it.

Best change would be if they boosted playerkills by 500% and decreased structure rewards with the same amount.

Fighting NPC’s shouldn’t be more rewarding then killing another player any day of the week. As it is now the focus is on NPC/Structure fights instead of finding the enemies to run em over.

So a new aim for WvW would be all about fighting players, not npc’s. Less fuss about imbalances 24/7.

The way i’m reading this X world would show up with their 40 man blob and get easy rewards.

Y world would get overrun because the single group they have doesn’t stand a chance and their backup is waiting on queue even though they are out numbered.

The third world is running around the rest of the zone with their 30 man blob taking free caps.

Doesn’t sound much different except you’re going to kitten off every commander out there by telling them where and when to attack.

Give more loot for player kills, base it off of their level, WXP rank, how long it’s been since they’ve last been killed.
