I’m guessing that the number of bonus chests that have been awarded, at least to myself, is a bug.

only 1.4k, dam you need to catch up 9.96k for me. Dam this is going to take a while. Really hope they don’t fix this, like getting that little extra amount of loot.

It’s a bug, but do you actually get the bonus chest when ranking up? i admire the guy who posted his screenshot with 17k+ chests then haha.

Yes, you get bonus chests when ranking up. I already got 3 and have 6628 left to go.

They won’t give use updates faster just because you spam in every single thread where there is a red post.

I saw this but I was hoping it was ANet love. Having over 1k bonus chests was a pleasant surprise.

Devon, is it okay for those of us affected by this bug to play WvW and receive chests?

Or should we stay away from WvW until it’s fixed?

It’s the middle of the season on reset night. If we get banned for playing wvw because of this glitch then.. well. I dunno what to say about that. I think it’s safe to say that you can play wvw while this is going on.

Also, it’s not like those chests have anything good in them. So I wouldn’t exactly call this bug game breaking (and no, the 0.00001% chance at getting ascended doesn’t count as good loot).

We are aware of the issue and working on a fix.

You mean that you are aware, and have decided that is long over due for WvW to have better loot so you will leave it. Not like an extra green, and maybe a blueprint is game breaking.

If they’re were going to leave it, they’d need to change it so everyone got it. Right now it’s only those affected by the glitch.
