Would it be possible to make lower tier servers group up with other servers to create larger WvW map populations? It just sucks being in a bottom tier map after people server hop to higher tier maps.

I’ve stared at Sanctum of Ral’s scores week after week and its always seems dead last. It used to be a higher tier world until people jumped ship in droves. Can there be a fix for low tier worlds to have that larger scale wvw experience?

I have had long discussions about low population problem with people in last tier of EU servers. And I’m afraid there is no good solution as long several things change.

Best situation for wvw would be to have all servers with nearly same population. However, as long people can freely change servers at any time there will be servers with low population and servers with high population.

To spread most wvw players between all servers rewards from wvw events should change so that having large blob means everyone involved gets smaller reward. As long having more people is shortest way to victory in wvw, and everyone still gets full reward for it, people will always want to join the server with highest population.

There is a lot of bad relations between servers that have been fighting each other for many months in a row. Forcing them all fight together could be nearly impossible. Players, who have not left the low population servers, are very proud of that and consider fighting for exactly that server very important.

I think days before an expansion brings a flood of new players and reinvigorate many old players to return and fill up servers, is the worst time possible to have this discussion. This is likely something that need to wait until a few moths to see how the population influx effects server populations.

They should eliminate at least one tier in the US. I know players don’t want to lose their home communities but Mega Server has more or less already done that. Putting 21 and 22 together, 20 and 23 then 19 and 24 would create far better competition as well as relieving some of the stagnant play.
