………It was 2015 which began as a great year for arena net. They released an expansion and not only that they delivered a truly global battle that will go down in history. It was inevitable with the release of gw2 China. And then there were 3 regions. Something happened that no one thought would be technologically possible but arena net pulled it off flawlessly.

The first ever WvWvW World Tournament! Across all regions and all over the world!

NA VS EU VS CHINA

You know it can happen, you just have to believe!

No it cant, ever. The technical and practical difficulties involved along with balancing the amount of servers make this idea absolutely impossible for an ongoing tournament. For a one time PvP event yes no problem, its happened already. Consider the number of servers, players, timezones, server locations and the sheer amount of unplayable lag that would ensue from having so many players from all these regions all playing together. The timezone changes would also cause too many coverage imbalances.

NA logs in, finds a few EU and almost no CHINA. NA eventually goes to sleep, EU wipes out any progress NA made as there is only a little resistance left, CHINA starts to log in and take back their stuff, EU logs out for the night, and CHINA goes on a karma train while NA people start to trickle back in. Everyone gives up and realizes this is a terrible idea

The Chinese aren’t even running the same build of the game as us. So that’s out.
