WvWvW invisible - It's FIXED
No, it’s not fixed. Still invisible enemies this morning, I’d say it’s not as bad as it was, but the fights so far this morning weren’t huge zerg vs zerg affairs, just 25 or so vs 5-10 (I assume, I could only tell after the bodies were on the ground).
Tried taking a supply camp with a zerg, encounters enemy zerg leaving the supply camp.
Everyone around me disappears, and i get killed within 3 seconds by a suddenly descending army all around me.

Just got killed by a few invisible invaders, and logged off.
The problem is like it was before.
A large number of enemies will take longer to load, but if the group is small you’ll be able to see them.
Still it is very damaging to game experience, having a small group that does guerrilla warfare you can end up in the middle of a zerging army without seeing from distance to formulate some sort of strategy.
Slowly it seems to me that WvWvW will not be more than mob vs mob and those that want to have fun and deploy tactics sooner or later will crash into the invisible damage wall and the enemies will be rendered when you are dead (this is the case for all my encounters with enemy angry mob).

It might be a slight bit better than earlier this week – but still significantly worse than it was prior to the patch that broke it entirely.
It’s a mess.
It is unfortunate but I have pretty much stayed out of wvwvw ever since I saw this being a big issue. It makes the game just boring that I can walk in and think im safe if with group of 5-10 and bam im dead and all of a sudden I see a zerg of like 100+ on top of me.
@OP The patch notes are referring to a bug that made all but pets invisible NOT the other invisible issues that we’ve all been having.

Hopefully that problem gets fixed soon, but I remember saying that a month ago…

Currently playing on other monitor, in a 20 v 20 fight @ cliffside. All player models seem to be renderd, clip plane on player models seems to be much further out. Not sure if this is due to a patch fix, or a fresh log in, if this prob is a memory leak as posted earlier, then a fresh log in would explain my findings, if this is due to patch fix it is working to reduce invisible players and the horrible short player model clip range.
In larger fights @ Dreambay, 30 attackers, invisible enemies on the walls, unknown number, invisible npc’s on walls also
fight @ keep lord, all enemies are invisible 30 attackers aprox 10 dead enemies on the floor @ end of fight, all were invisible until 30 sec after then end of a 4 min fight
How to make people happy with less effort:
If there’s a problem, make it way worse, let people complain about it, and then change it back again.
Nope, sorry, I won’t buy it. The problem is still there.
Might be two problems. Culling (or whatever it is) as the original issue of draw distance / too many characters on screen to be seen, and the one I enjoyed last night, running around all night seeing nothing but pets and the occasional floating commander icon. I am glad my little hatchet bounces from player to player, it was my go-to skill for the night.
If they fixed the problem I had last night, but are still reviewing the change to culling we all need- well, it’s progress.
For what it’s worth, in regards to ‘culling’, I am firmly in the camp that says ‘my machine can handle it, so give me my own slider to control density, etc’… but I understand this has server-side ramifications as well.
The game was totally unplayable last night, so if that’s fixed, I am happiness and rainbows now.

I hope it is getting fixed soon if not fixed in this patch. This is the first real ‘unplayable’ issue I have had with this game.
I am willing to be patient while they work through the issue, however I would like to see a clearer line on what the cause is, and where they are in the process.
The issue has impacted my level of player satisfaction, and some nights I have just stopped playing WvW to avoid the frustration.
Looking forward to a timely fix!

Clearly something changed with the GW2 application to create this inivisibility issue. Even though I had some random disconnects early on after launch I didn’t have this issue. It is an issue that has just popped up for me in WvW over the last week.
One thing I’d like to see from Dragonbrand moving forward is to do what we can to keep WvW as much of a fun experience as we can make it even if we are behind on the scoreboard. I had a blast yesterday evening w/ Commander Crystin (sp?) who essentially led a group of us through much of the DB map until invisibility issue became overbearing for us.

Not for me. Much much worse than at launch.
Further testing, WVW is back, not perfect but doable
Yeah it’s difficult when someones asks “is our ram invisible” and you answer “we have a ram?!”… seriously, this week has been crazy!
our zerg shooting at nothing, nothingshooting at our zerg, invisible siege weapons, being manned by invisible people… seems only pets want to show themselves!
Mesmers must be laughing, since I can onlysee their clones. Rangers I can only see their pets. See a friendly player shoointgbehind me, ask in guild, get told they think it was just an NPC archer. This is since the WvW reset tonight. I know it’s busy straight after but….
Today’s fix doesn’t appear to have improved or changed much.
