Guild Wars 2

Let’s be honest.. WVW is one of the best aspects of Guild “Wars” 2.
I think there needs to be more attention on it. As does like almost anyone.. Me personally if WVW did not exist, I would have been gone a long time ago. I’m not frowning on PVE, because it’s pretty darn good too. Such a gorgeous game…

Anyways..
My rant on this topic is about “Wvw Ranks” Why should the enemy know your rank? It just makes you get focused more. Shouldn’t your actual server know your rank instead? Some guy months back made a nice spread sheet of rank icons, and I fully support it… I lost the topic, but it was darn good idea.
Sure, eventually you will max out your rank, but that are for the ones who K Train 24/7 anyways. Not for good players, who care about what WVW is as a whole.
I myself am only a Platinum Raider, but I’ll get focused just due to the enemy knowing my rank. Who cares, yata yata. Seriously though it should be removed from the enemy knowing it. Display an icon by our names to only people on our server (Kind of like world completion) Letting our server know our rank. The enemy shouldn’t know…

They should fix the search function here so people don’t keep posting the same thing over and over.

This, and you can always fall back on WvW Achievements for a perfect argument on how the gametype gets so little attention. GW2 is pushing 2.5 years old, and they still haven’t simply adjusted the crazy numbers for most of these.

Their solution: Create WvW Seasons. Add new achievements.
