First, lets point out that I don’t care for wvw in general. The only reason I do it is for the monthly achievements, the 500 tokens for gift of battle, and map exploration.

I have 3 POIs and 1 vista remaining for exploration, and guess where those are… Yes, Blue main keep and the other two closest. This is incredibly frustrating.
I would wait until my server changes tier, except I am from SoS and it doesn’t look like we will be moving anytime soon.
I would transfer server, wait a week and transfer back, but I dont think i could get back to SoS.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting this exploration? It appears that the only way to do it is to wait for the off chance that the keeps get taken. I feel it would be smart if the borderlands were randomly assigned each week, rather than 3rd is always blue etc.

I a keeps changes ownership between the other teams you can try to run in stealthed while the gate is down.

I got my last 2 POI that way.
Altough it might be a lot harder to get to the vista’s

Just get with the Zerg and ride around until you get it. Or, if the cost or repair is the problem – run around naked until you get them all.

You’re right; it’s pretty easy when your server can’t get Veloka’s all but once a week and that’s during Night Time when you have to sleep.

I shouldn’t HAVE to wait weeks upon weeks to get a single PoI/Vista just because A.net didn’t see the flaw in keeping the matchup colors the same for servers every kitten week.

Try committing yourself to the war effort? If we WvW guys have to commit to endless time in PvE to get map exploration (and yes, it takes FAR more time for that), then you PvE guys can spend a little time getting some map points where we reside.

I play WvW all the kitten time; and getting Veloka’s isn’t something that magically happens since it’s the easiest kitten point for Red team to defend and arguably the hardest point on the map for Green to take.

The ONE time BG seems to get Veloka’s is when I either have to go to class; only to come to it being taken back OR when I’m asleep because I have other things to do. Easiest solution to the map completion issue is just switching the teams colors, in the end it still takes 3 weeks to get it… but taking 3 weeks or more working your kitten off for it? Hah yeah, good job a.net.

Katsumoto, in my grinding for badges (worst grind in the game), I was in wvw for over 59 hours in a week. In EB none the less. At no point did we make it near the blue keep, whereas we conquered the entirety of the borderlands. Some of the POIs I got by racing in when it changed hands between the other two teams, but this keep? Doesn’t really happen.

I play WvW almost exclusively, and am a commander on my server. I’m quite aware of the difficulty of getting a keep in a close game or a game where your server is weaker. However there is no obligation for you to get map completion just as there is none for me to do so. I do not go around moaning that if I want map completion I have to get the overwhelming majority of it in areas I couldn’t care less about. It’s a symbol you’ve essentially completed the game, what is wrong with it being something of a challenge? Also badges aren’t that rare, I easily get upwards of 70 a day on WvW, and that’s not even with all jump puzzles complete a day.
