If the “World rank bonus chests are now account bound”, does that mean the Wxp levels are account bound? If not, whats the point of leveling an Alt?
What happened to this (from Dulfy’s notes on Eurogamer panel):

Q: Changes made in the past year that made it the game unplayable for more than one characters A: We are looking into it and we definitely want to support players being able to play alts and not feel missing out on content.

I hate the fact it is not account wide too.

Playing too much of a “main” will bore us faster… and we all know if we are bored of a game, we stop playing it and go to another one to keep things fresh…

Take note Anet.

Well the way I take it is that you only get one chest for each rank, no matter what character achieved it. So if you start doing an alt, you won’t get any rank up chests for any ranks up until the highest one you’ve achieved on your ‘main’ (which ever has the highest).

The chests are now account bound because you get some at the end of the match based on how your server did.

since you could be on any character when the reward goes out, this lets you transfer the chests to the character(s) you want the chest to go to.

Huh, didn’t even think of it that way. But the rank up chests are the ones that show up in the bottom corner (like map completion/daily), not normal chests, unless that corner chest is going to give a chest instead of the normal rewards.

NO, world rank bonus chest’s are account bound because they are based on your SERVER’s (World’s) end ranking at the end of the WvW Season.

WxP levels are still character bound. However I thought I read that consumable WxP from PvP kills (drops from bags) will be account bound….so you could pass your WxP consumables to other characters that need it…

Previously it was mostly just “misguided/poorly implemented ideas”. This would just be outright malevolence.

Except that you got a rank up chest when you get a wxp rank. The ones based on your servers end ranking at the end of the week are new (so why isn’t it in with the line about that chest(s) instead of its own?), as well as the one(?) we get at the end of the season thing (which is also new).
