Hey folks,

I’m curious what everyone does for gold within WvW. There are a few ways that you can make gold in this part of the game, all of them less effective than PvE. Although, I’m still curious as to what folks to do produce some shiny.

In order:
Silk (from discarded garments) 4-5G per week ( 500-750 scraps)
Rares (mostly GS and Staff, salvage the rest for ecto)
Contents of Embroidered Belt Pouches
Spikes

Now I could probably make a killing if I sold Superior Siege on the TP, but I choose to use it instead.

What do you do to make gold?

Lol. see, my 4-5g per WEEK is not really an appreciable amount of gold, but it’s still my biggest driver of income, i was just wondering what other pplz do.

ya gotta get a little bit, ya know? we’re not getting that 30g in 3 hours though.

I actually lose gold in WvW unless I refuse to place siege or upgrade. Even then I wouldn’t call it making gold. If I want to make any gold….I pve.

Do not make alot of money in wvw. If you mainly zerg and you guild is the dominate zerg on the map you can otherwise no. Lucky to get 2g a hour in wvw. Mess with TP or do pve stuff to make money.

I do gathering… Iron/Platinum ores and Soft/Hard wood logs are my income.

And it’s even funnier when I do that while tagged up, because everyone just stay there staring at me like if I’m doing somenthing outrageous…

Used to farm many EU T1 pug blobs with my former guild which drop a kittenton of heavy loot bags. Additionally you get a few rares and if you are lucky 1-2 exotic pieces. So we made like 10g-15g with ease.

Playing now for another guild and I make at the very most 5g a day because we’re fighting mostly guilds in silver league.

So yea it depends on your play style (roaming,zerg busting with guild, playing in pugzerg, etc.) AND ON YOUR PROFESSION! playing guardian. 111111111

Not very much. And all I do is just attach myself to a zerg train and leech off them. I don’t even spend money on food/oils/siege, and yet the income is pretty bad (unless you’re EotM k-training.) I wonder at what the dedicated WvW guilds have to spend each week to keep a winning edge.

Selling lootbags, WvW is not a profitable place, but I know some who have more luck with the Mystic Toilet.

skill points are pretty valuable and are pretty much the only things i ever gain a lot of in wvw

I play the market when I need cash. I can usually make 200g-300g per week but it is a big time sync.

Someone has to do the housekeeping on EBG… I just tag up if the things are really dire over there nowadays. I belive I tagged up twice last week.

Well, if you run in a blob or a organized guild group that gets alot of kills, get a gilded infusion. Those 1s drops add up quite nicely.

My main source of income is killing blobs. I’d say I make about 50g a week, most of that comes from rares/exotics.
