Zerker stats needs a buff
What about the zerg fights where you have plenty of bodies in front or you while you deal zerker style damage from safety? That is not exactly avoiding death by using superior skill :P

So standing in the back of the zerg with lots of bodies in front of you with full sentinel stats is more skill?
I don’t know, if there is skillful play involved it wouldn’t matter if they other side stacked toughness/vitality – they are still going to die imo. Put some marauder/valkryie pieces on if you have trouble staying alive, it won’t harm the dmg output that much. I think the risk/reward on squishy builds are where they should be, for me at least.
I don’t really have an issue with berzerker stats. I run it on my warrior for roaming and my front line reaper for organized group fights.
You just have to utilize skills and positioning better. When in a group be in an appropriate party and when roaming know your limits and when to kite.

Isn’t here the problem how stupidly strong ranged damage is?
You are rewarded, you get kills if your skilled = more bags. Not sure what else you’d really be wanting but asking to be handed something just cause you l33t with the keyboard is kinda silly.
I’ve said this many times before, you take 2 people of the same class, put one in zerker gear, and the other in say soldier’s gear. The player wearing soldier gear will do more damage to the player wearing zerkers than vice versa. It certainly shouldn’t be this way.
In saying that, that is why there are conditions, to chew through the players who wear Vit/Tough and it works quite nicely. So well in fact many people who stack Vit/Tough whine about conditions being to strong. I have news for you, your Vit/Tough gear does too much damage to zerk, so that’s the trade off. Consider it like rock, paper, scissors.
I feel like toughness in general should be a multi stat giving you damage reduction from conditions and power damage this way us power players will get some benefit from adding a few items with toughness on them allowing us to live longer while in these situations. Maybe this way they can change Vitality completely to give less health overall or be a new stat completely like reducing condition duration applied to you. I do feel though power builds are at a huge disadvantage compared to condition or tankier builds that still put out nice damage with a lot less survival issues. What if they mixed other stats as well like Ferocity being the primary stat to power builds that give you a 50/50 of precision and critical damage? With a change like that precision would be more so a power stat, but that kind of change can make it so you can stack off gear with secondary stats for survival without worrying about too much power damage loss.
playing a risky squishy build, should be handsomely rewarded as it requires the most skill, and instead it is often outperformed by someone playing a tanky class who makes a ton of mistakes and spams the 1 skill.
Build Wars 2 is good. We noob players have good time too in WvW because of it. Also, the game is rated for 12+ years, and thus GW2 WvW should not be that hard core game.
Small scale combat should be balanced through sPvP, not WvW. If the developers feel like defensive stats are too strong for group play then I’d be alright with some nerfs/buffs for zerker.
Have you been bulied by bunker builds now?

I’m surprised you didn’t ask for more pips if you’re running zerker.
No, it doesn’t need a buff.

Get into a squad and share buffs. Oh wait..,.
Knock back and rapidfire isn’t enough to kill condi reaper. Full berserkker gear should give at least 3500 power and 240% crit dmg. Really kittens me off when i stand in tower wall and condi reaper run past and i outplay him laika boss, but he doesn’t die.

I can say the same for Trailblazer Mesmer and Condi Warrior and the Condi Guardian. It’s not just the Condi Reaper the creates this problem. It’s the fact that ANet really does not make any attempts to balance WvW what so ever.
But at least I admit it!

Maybe you’re not supposed to run full glass in non roaming wvw builds. It reminds me of a saying an old NSP commander used to say: “A dead zerker does no damage.” Just as in Pve, it’s much more advisable to run the highest dps you can, in WvW you gotta tank up.
No more power creep. If you really believe that zerker gear is underperforming compared to other gear, then ask for the other stat sets that are overperforming to be nerfed instead.
Trim downed state. That would help some. Pretty sad when people face tank standing up, go into downed state and facetank more.
when you play in full zerker, it is extremly risky in wvw, and it should be highly rewarding as well if you can avoid death by using superior skill.
In most instances, power + Prec + ferocity does reward skillful play with quick kills, especially against those who don’t stack vitality or toughness. However when someone with full zerk stats comes up against anyone with Vit + Tough builds, the damage mitigation is to hi. Zerk damage against someone with full Sentinel stats is mitigated by about 1/5th. Since these builds are basically polar opposites of one another you would think the mitigation would be 1/2 right in the middle, but instead its mitigated by way too much.
Builds that use Vit + Tough are overpowered in that they can still take an additional stat and be effective like condi or Power. Either Zerker needs a buff (power/prec/feroc) or vit/tough stats need a nerf.

I disagree with you completely. I play all classes, albeit, some of them just to know their skills / builds due to time limitations. I also play all flavors, full (glass) DPS, full tank, full sustain, condi, and some inbetween hybrids as well.
And I can tell you, you got it exactly backwards. There are some really kittenetly OP zerker builds for WVW. Hammer Revs, thieves and chronos to start off with. Druids and warriors are not bad either.
If you are running a zerker build and you failed to down your opponent, if glass in 1 combo, if tank in 2 combos, then that is entirely 100% on you, not the game. If you let them put up protection, block, gyro or whatever else mitigation they have, or you continued your combo while they popped it, or simply picked a wrong spot and they got LOS on your attack, which I see soooooooo often, these things are all 100% on you and your personal L2P issues.
IMHO its the exact opposite. Bunker builds LACK sustainability right now and I hope the next expansion metas move towards more of it. I want more tactical combat where people can actually think about and use their skills and different combo, where there is actual counterplay.
I am vastly against 1 or 2 shotting ( or comboing) people, against perma CC, against passive skill procs, etc. Basically anything that shortens the combat (in which you currently can get one shot or 1 comboed) and limits active counterplay I want to see gone.
There are good reasons why SPVP lost so many players and the rest of it deteriorated when A-Net removed the amulets, don’t take my word for it, go check out their forum. And I absolutely do not want that for WVW.
I think zerker is fine, I tend to run mostly zerker with some marauder pieces thrown in for some added vitality.
I tend to run two different directions along with my zerker gear, I run 17% damage reduction on my more melee driven builds, and I use more damage oriented runes on my builds that have better kitting ability.
The only problem that I am seeing right now are the extreme builds that can throw up block after block, or spam blinks, stealth, or anything else in a copious manner. That’s what screws over zerker builds. You simply will not get a full burst off.

these things are all 100% on you and your personal L2P issues.
Precisely. Asking for a Zerker buff shows a fundamental lack of game knowledge and the mechanics at the most basic level.
……I’m sure we’d love flocks of roaming one-shot thieves. lol

The problem here is you’re not skillful enough so you’re asking for a buff.
If you actually possessed the skills you mention you wouldn’t need any help from Arenanet.
LMAO yes please buff zerk stats. I wanna’ 1HKO even more thieves and mesmers with my gunflame warri and overkill obliterate unsuspecting victims waltzing through a choke on a full trap DH.
Just don’t be whinging to ANet when you get 100-0’d out of the blue from a thief or mesmer.
The vulnerability debuff is your friend.
Power builds/classes vs. those with high armor (2800+) switch from winning from bursting down their opponent to a war of attrition, where you bait people into using up their dodges/stun breaks ect. and widdle their hp down.

I don’t think zerker stats are the problem. I think it’s more that many classes run around with high toughness and perma-protection, so it feels like you’re doing much less damage than you should be.
I won’t lie, it’s pretty demoralizing to be full-zerk and plinking your opponent for 600 damage crits because they’ve got perma-prot. Coupled with other defenses like block, reflect, and good sustain, it can be difficult to take their health down. It’s tempting to just go condi and avoid all of that.
