WvW season 2 not even started and I don’t come any near getting into WvW within my available time window of approx. 3 hours/weekday…how are we supposed to participate in the upcoming content?

Proof:

You can do most of the achievements (meta included) in Edge of the Mists.

meh…not the same. I want to represent my server I’m playing on since release and not with some random ppl :-(

EoTM is the solution to queues, select the main map you want to enter, then play EoTM until your turn in the queue pops…simples.

Its a good system and EoTM is a good map…your problem if you do not like it.

The solution is to not stack on already overstacked servers. There’s only one person to blame for having a massive queue in WvW, and it’s you.

no, it’s the bandwagoners that flooded our server recently…I’ve been there since release and I have no intentions in leaving as I pretty much like it on Gandara (at least until now).

Then blame the bandwagoners, not anet.

Gandara had free tranfers and this is what happens. Tons of players moving to Gandara cause they want to be in a winner server without paying anything.

The only solution to this would be no free transfers, but its too late. You can still transfer to a different server, because during all league Gandara will be queued all time.

I might be mistaken, but I am rather sure that Season two started several hours before you made your post OP, which would explain why there are extra people online.
The PvE:ers want to get the achievements done asap.

I don’t think Anet learned any lessons from last time despite what they said. They should’ve banned transfers one week after announcing the tournament and full month before the tournament started.

Either that or make entering wvw during the tournament dependent on the amount of time a player already spends there… despite mostly being a roamer which means lower ranked than the zerg players, they could even set up the que dependent on what rank a player is… that way those who always play wvw are not punished by being denied access to their game content during the tournament.

As far as I know, ArenaNet came up with the WvW achievements, the free transfers, the server cap, the queues, etc… People are just doing what they need to do to be able to get the rewards ArenaNet came up with.

mag only has 100 man queue on ebg the rest of the bl are 25-30 long

Everyone cancel the tournament for everybody. Turns out that upper tier servers have too many people.

Poor guy on BG. Must suck to have queues all the time. Again, only yourself to blame. I’m on FA. We have a 90 person queue into EBG. You chose blackgate, you get to have the consequences.

Perhaps the best thing to do is to remind PvEers that they can go to EoTM …

that they can just karma train against other PvEers and get their achievements there much faster than in real WvW.

I suggest queuing for EB. The game will eventually crash and kick people out giving you the chance to get in quicker! Of course it will happen to you too…..it just happened to me :-(

TC with the 4 maps had 600-700 people queued.

Yea that’s not BG. BG had almost an extra 100 for each map.

Meanwhile in CD….. outmanned.

If i see 100+ people in a queue…Why would i wait it out ? Honestly i got better things to do then stare at my screen till my queue pops so i can get zerged by 100 ppl blobs and enjoy the lagfest.I cant understand how someone can actually sit there for 2h till he gets in,so he can get dc’d again so he can wait it out again…

1) not be on a server that stacked and now should be in gold (would have been, with one more pre-league week)
@anet:any solution on queue
2) content and achievements can be done in EoTM, so Anet already offered a solution. That it’s not one that you want to use… not Anet or anyone else here problems… (you know you can get your guild on the same EoTM overflow? probabilities are high that you are not the only from your guild in queue…)

I love all those picture of T1/T2/T3/T4..
Blame yourself for not transfering to a lower tier server. We had yesterday prime time EB queue around 40 and on the borders up to 10. No problem, waited a few minutes to get in. After prime time only a small queue on EB, atm (4pm) no queues on borderlands, 22 on EB

The hell with the queue, you have ETOM to play on while you are waiting. Fix the kitten lag which keeps us from actually playing once we do get into the map.
