Necro/reaper can run vipers. Vipers is the only gear I’ve been running on my necro for a while now and I have success with it roaming. That doesn’t mean its the best gear combo, but you certainly can run it.

Other options I’ve tried are vipers rev and vipers warrior. Both aren’t as effective as their power counterparts imo, though with vipers rev it might be worth revisiting after the balance patch. Vipers engi should also technically work, though I will admit I have never tried it.

Hybrid Warrior with rifle and Mace/shield?

I run Sinister/Viper on my p/p Engi. It is super squishy, but pretty deadly. You tag with condi bomb, then gtfo before they can hit you back. Repeat until they’re dead.

I do swap in more toughness+vitality when running in larger groups though. Sinister doesn’t survive in big fights when you’ll get 1-shot by a random CoR or other aoe.

I think GS ends up being better for the mobility based on when I tried it. Arc divider has good range to proc cleansing ire and adrenal health.

If you like to run with the zerg ball, I sometimes run viper on my warrior LB + x/torch or x/shield for defensive capabilities. Mostly PvE build but – if you like throwing out tons of burns and bleeds, it’s good.

Condi thief can use viper, but it definitely helps to have some carrion, rabid, or dire thrown in for survivability. Full viper is deadly, but sooooooo squishy.

Thieves do very well with Trailblazer jewelry and Viper armor/weapons. I do find the need to run Acro or Stealth for extra survival in this setup but the impact is substantial with many foes falling in a couple seconds.
