I want to level my low level character while I do eotm, is it still possible I can get ascended chest drops or do I need to be level 80, and I dont mean my rank level but my character level.

You need to be level 80

If my lowbies can get lvl 80 exotics from loot chests, why not ascended?

Btw OP, the chance of getting anything good from rank up chests is pretty low….

Ironically, my only ascended weapon came from a “World Chest” when ranking up. It was Sentinel stats, but it goes pretty well with my frontline support warrior.

I’ve had a handful (not sure the exact amount but around 4-ish) of rings + 2 wep/armor chests drop from EOTM (being on level 80s) rank up chests throughout my entire time playing that mode.

This has always happened when running around with the magic find booster though I highly doubt it contributes to anything.. such RNG.

No only drops on your level very very rare a 80 exotic. After leveling 5 Twinks in it on gets one exotic.
