Anet had no reason to reset wvw, I feel Anet did it out of their own convenience. i don’t see why they couldn’t wait til the end of the wvw week to drop the patch in. i was invested in last matchup of wvw. so i was annoyed that it ended short.

so here some question’s i want ask anyone in regards to wvw match making
considering the WvW match history is fresh and new with the rating still the same

1. is 4-5 days of wvw accurate data for this current matchup and future matchups?
2. is 7-9 days of wvw also accurate data for future matchups?
3. do we have room for data to be vastly different in general?

reading this section from the stickies
“Worlds that win, especially by a large margin, will have their rating increased by a larger amount than normal.”

i would like to think that alone would play some part of it. but then again im not a dev matchmaking in general is a hell of a thing to deal with but i still wanted to talk about it

They said it had to be done because of some software limitations. It is not a biggie. Get over it.

Its in beta…none of these scores matter atm

Reset was ok and expected. New matchup completely sucks though. Didn’t think it was possible to get blobbed off every map after server linking.

Further proof that “you can’t make everyone happy”;

SOMEONE will ALWAYS find SOMETHING to b**** about!

They said it’s a system limitation and if you want the new BL it had to go in with a major patch. So it was either patch on Tuesday and get Alpine or you don’t get it period. Honestly be happy you got Alpine back…. man it seems the more ANet tries the more it turns into a “kitten ed if you do kitten ed if you don’t” scenario….

I for one am NOT happy that alpine is back. I can’t believe they brought back those same old boring kitten lame kitten maps >.<

Desert BL was a step in the right direction – nice new maps.

Now they take not a step, but a gigantic LEAP backwards.

It’ll be ok if they follow through on the rotating bl maps idea.

It is a biggie with the complete lack of communication over it. It came at completely the wrong time for my server and we were hampered by the lack of preparation. This is being overshadowed by alpine being back so its not receiving the attention it deserves. We had some completely new matchups that some of us were enjoying and it was cut short. Why not patch this specific thing at normal reset time? Players would not have minded so long as they knew what was happening.

And even now the API score sites have not fixed the change.

AFAIK our glicko is still being updated so that is live.

you are correct, but only for the host servers. the guest servers won’t be updated – they are simply mercenaries with no country of their own (or style of play of their own)……
