In war goal is outnumber enemy and kick their kitten. If enemy outnumber you it just mean that you got outplayed. Your idea would just help some lame guilds wipe bigger zergs even if they really aren’t skilled enough to do it.

I would like the zergs to be gone too but I don’t think this is the way of doing it. If you want it even down to 1v1, then it will never be fixed, since not even the SPvP have even fights and that goes down to 5v5. I would accept some debuffs, but not to the line you have suggested, since being zerggy doesn’t mean you have to be debuffed to the point of not being able to do nothing. I would suggest content that works with smaller groups with organization/coordination. The only problem is they would have to redesign a lot of wvw so it doesn’t benefit from zerging so much.

That’s the logic of someone on a server with high enough population to walk every match-up.
To tone down zerging a couple things can happen:
-increase AoE cap
-send dead players to nearest WP 30s after death(no hard rezzing, no spying)

The best thing they could do is to remove the downed state and ressing whilst in combat, imo. It wouldn’t affect the majority of zerg fights, since no side has any arbitrary debuffs, and the larger force will still have an advantage, as they should do. But it would give smaller groups/roamers more of a chance to accomplish something when faced with a much larger force, since guerrilla tactics like thinning their numbers before a direct assault would actually work then.
That’s my 2 cents anyways.

Lol. This is just so wrong. Having more numbers doesn’t mean they out played you. They out numbered you and nothing more. The Zergging in this game is out of control and needs to be fixed when you have BLOBS of like 40-50+ jumping from map to map and just swamping everything because they have ONE thing and that is numbers, isn’t them playing well.
when im out #ed 3 to 1, them killing me in a third of the time doesn’t show that they were any better skilled then I was. it just show’s that I have a third less amount of abilities in order to win.
Go to PvP if you are looking for fair fights. In WvW, there are larger strategies at work.
Your own fault for overestimating your ability to take on larger groups. It’s not a problem with the game.
If you don’t want outnumbered fights, don’t engage the blob. simple.

Set downed state to bleed out fast enough that you last max 7 seconds. That is enough to trigger the rapid self rez skill (vengance, symbol, pet). Remove downed #4 skill.
This way we cater to the noobs, while making mass rallying much less likely.

What about those classes that doesnt have such skills?
I think all classes should have a Vengeance type downstate skill. Of course the name and such would need to be different by the overall affect would be the same. Remove the Warrior trait and make it 100% chance to rally when killing a player character and say 50% when killing any NPCs (minus critters and such)
