is this really viable? i understand that leadership is needed for direction, however, why would unlocking commander status simply cost gold? gold does not prove anything in the way of prowess in leadership in wvw. the only thing it proves is that someone came up with 100g somehow. IMHO, it should be based on things like titles and achievements, yknow, things that one would have to work a while in wvw to get.
the reason i’m bringing this up is, i’ve seen a horde following a blue dot around while he is openly admitting that he is going for ego kills vs. a certain group, while in the meantime we are leaving our keep and orb vulnerable, with 3-5 people to fortify the keep and protect it.
cash shop rank means nothing, unless someone wants to be a cow. IJS. if someone wants to be a commander, they should have to prove capability, instead of buying their rank.
