Had a commander and her/his Hench persons flogging and qq ing about how crap the noobs are and how if they don’t do what their told they are hurting the server.

Well if a commander makes www more work than my job, and alienates all the noobs,
our coverage will never improve. This is what hurts a server more in the long run, not some noobs making a few errors of judgement.

On the other hand a Commander that “leads”, “teaches” and “inspires” the noobs may just turn noobs into valuable experienced warriors for the server. :P

Next time please look for one of the other 1000 Commander this Commander that threads insted of making a new one… everyone complains about commanders nowadays but untill u try leading ur self you have no idea how much of a job it really is.

This, pretty much.
A good commander is just as ineffective if no one’s heeding what they’re saying because they think they can do it on their own.

It’s also a pain when your server is being squashed on all sides, demoralizing the people on your server, meaning that you have a much smaller turn out… meaning that you’re going to be dominated even more.

I can agree with you to an extent, OP, but they can be equally damaging.

OP, IMO nothing justifies calling ANYONE on the field that is trying a noob or any such insulting name.....if someone commander/solider alike is calling names says more about a defect in their personality and used to make that person feel better about themselves. And if the job is to much for some....turn tag off. Oh and Yes, I do have one and have been out there leading.

Personally Ive commanded on my own repeatly, without a commander icon, For commander because they get chat locked and they are happy that i can type for them. honestly you need to break down chain of command. Commander sure takes first, But as a fellow mate under his wing Your crys /shouts of his command getting relays is powerful Because he is in Teamspeak talking to about 20-30 underling with 60+ player. My advice hop on their channel in TS3 and try to relay information in chat as /say or relay useful information to him.

If you are having such problem try being in the real army. IF you are a noob you will not only endanger urself but also your entire platoon. You have face it if you cant do well here in a game then god forbid you to ever sign up on frontlines.

Just mute them in vent / mumble / teamspeak, follow someone else and say in mapchat what he is doing wrong.

They’ll get the message eventually.
