does antitoxin (or hoelbrak runes) (-24 or -20% condition on you)
ADDS with traits like mecha legs (cripple-chill-imob Condition Duration Reduction: 33%)
ADDS with foods -20% condition on you
ADDS with trait like “adaptive armor”
( Condition Damage Reduced: 20%
Adapted Armor (10s): 60 Toughness
Maximum Stacks: 5)

if all of them ADDS:

should become out a -64% condition DURATION on you (burn-poison-bleeding-
vulnerability-confusion)

and -97% of cripple-chill-imobilize

sometimes seems not matching…

Adaptive armour doesn’t reduce condi duration, but rather condi damage.

So hoelbrak runes, mecha legs and food will reduce condi duration by 40% (73% crip/chill/imob).

Surrender and serve me in life, or die and slave for me in death.

They do indeed stack. These traits, runes and foods is what makes condi killer builds very effective, it is also why you can practically tear condi reappers apart while playing 1 handed on a scrapper. There are also sigils of generosity and purity. IMHO Generosity is one of the most fun sigils available, as once in a great while you see a massive stack transfered back to your opponent.

Its really funny you brought up mecha legs and chill, when I play my scrapper I literally beat almost all reapers, except the rare very good ones that get away or are hybrids / power based. While on my reaper, I beat most scrappers as they tend to ignore mecha legs and the stuff you mentioned above.

Add to that stupid amount of removal like mesmers, eles or druids have and you have builds that are nearly entirely immune to ceirtain things.

Back in the day, for a long while the WVW meta was 90%+ condi duration, it made more then half of all classes / builds / CC useless and ultimately the entire WVW gameplay was dumbed down to a single boon and power damage. It was kinda OKish at 1st until everyone switched to it while there were still some bags left, but then got very bad and very boring and a ton of people quit either of this boredome or having their class / builds / playstyle completely negated and not viable.

Luckily, vast majority of people are not like you, instead of moving their mouse over these things and reading their descriptions and actually using them, they’d rather come here and make complaint posts, so plenty of bags for condi players still abound.

Condition duration modifiers are additive with few exceptions. Although your modifier is -97%, an opponent with +100% will entirely negate your modifier, resulting in their condi having a duration bonus of +3%.

So take your opponents +duration and subtract your -duration and you get their final duration bonus/penalty.

mmmm interesting… so its better to use 1-2 gyros (with superspeed and stability) and take mecha legs – antitoxin (or hoelbrak) and food (sweat bun for example) …

never read it well… thought it was -20% condi duration… not -20% condi damage… interesting interesting… :P
