so some invader broke into our citadel and … we kill them all because we were invulnerable.
Now, taking from wiki page about Legendary Defender, it is said that Legendary Defenders are guards in World versus World, They are invulnerable and defend locations meant to be inaccessible to opposing players. you read the key words? INACCESSIBLE. so how this happen? is it even possible for them to breach our citadel? killing the legendary defender etc? or is it another new hack?

Looks like 3 are naked. Meaning they tried before. maybe a massive rush in where the defenders are weak?

Please tell about what part of the maps your spawn was on and if you saw more bodies along the way.

It is definitely possible to get past the legendary defenders. Just activate [Endure Pain] as a warrior (example) at the right time and you can just run past them. Won’t do you any good, but its possible. If even more people did that at once I have no doubt quite a few would get through….. to just die inside. YAY!

All you need is a Mesmer to get in for a portal. Plus they mass invisibility.

To me, the bigger question isn’t how they didn’t get caught by the legendary defenders… but how they got up there. I thought the entire citadel was surrounded by either cliffs or walls… with the cliffs being tall enough that you can’t jump up. The only ways in or out are supposed to be the gates that only the home team can use or waypoints. The legendary guards are basically supposed to be Plan B.

I’m guessing exploit/hack or someone found a bug with a little piece of terrain that allowed them to jump up onto the plateau.

my thoughts exactly. we are talking about citadel. the big place in the middle. it’s impossible for them to breach in from anywhere, no? this is their 1st attempt.

they came from north east side of citadel, which is basically whole lot of high terrain. and they suddenly just came out from there. bodies only on that part where we kill them.

The cliffs to the north aren’t that high if i remember correctly (i’m at work atm so i can’t check), so it could be possible for say an engineer to use jump shot to get up there.

we are talking about the citadel on home borderland. the one behind garrison. how they do it since the whole place was guarded by legendary defender and you need to enter the door to get inside. i can see it could happen to run inside citadel with boons to other small citadel since they don’t have that red blue green door to enter, but this? and there’s different class there not just engineer, unless that engineer skill works like mesmer portal.
i really think it’s a hack but i do not want to make false report since i really don’t know what is going on. i just wish anet can clarify this.

Its not actually hacking, I’ve seen a DB guy just jump up there from the cliff north of Cragtop. I can’t remember where it is but if you try the suspicious looking ones i think you can find it. Its like a terrain fail, like the one that leads to Hills.
