been wondering why we get Tomes of Knowledge for PVE level o WvW… why not get Tomes for WvW rank?
What it is unbalanced about it to not be applied?

You realize WvW rank =/= Level and Tomes of Knowledge are used on people that use WvW to level up characters.

You get 100s of tombs from reward tracks that you can 80 all your slots fairly quickly. Adding tombs to wvw rank is doubling down in an area that is already flooded. Most of us wvw’er have useless stacks of tombs. I convert all new ones to spirit shards just to save inventory space

seems I didn’t make my self clear. let me try again, please.

so we level up to level 80 with tomes of knowledge. after we hit level 80 we get spirit shards. Fair enough, nothing against.
My thought for WvW is:
why don’t we have an equivalent of tomes of knowledge for WvW that give as Rank that as consequence gives us rank point that we use on WvW upgrades.

If we can instant level to level 80 in PVE with tomes of knowledge why not get rank points to WvW in a similar way?

We get random auto consumed drops that contribute to rank. I’m not sure getting free wvw levels at set intervals through reward tracks is appropriate

BTW your rank up speed is determined by what your doing….capturing SMC is huge exp…keeps are also really good.

People Farm EOTM Ktrain to rank fast, that’s why that platinum and you just killed was such a n00b. I don’t worry much about rank because the EOTM grind has diluted the titles and they are meaningless. I also easily meet the 2 rank ups per day for daily….so I focus more on kills and working up my realm avenger title then wvw rank.

Only reason I can see caring about rank is the hope of drops (ascended chest). Which still seems like a silly focus, cause you can craft / mat buy them without much trouble or Farm fractal 3 Daily show before you spend your night in wvw, fractal unsafe really don’t take a lot of time

Oh wait, you want upgrades? Just get to rank 150 and you can then take your time.

Max cata, provision for auto loot and maybe guard offense/ defense, some in supply or build Speed and you will be in good shape.

exactly, upgrades! So what do you, why not tomes for rank points?

Rank points are equivalent to masteries in Pve Tomes don’t grant Mastery experience so they shouldn’t grant rank points.

I wouldn’t be opposed to a few thousand ‘free’ proofs of heroics.

Anet would never allow that because they put decent items behind proofs.

I would love it…just love it…if we could trade tomes for proofs of heroics….i dont think it’ll happen, but hey…a guy can dream….
