great job guild wars 2
On the other hand, they will have to suffer queue times.
They’ll play the waiting game more than actually enjoy WvW.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Personally i used to play on SBI and i thought that was fun. Then after a awhile of fighting a battle against an enemy with superior numbers 24-7 i switched to kaineng. It was the single best decisions i have made. Its almost like playing a different game that is 100x better. Smaller fights are so much more fun. The jumping puzzle is never camped by more then 4 people at once. A small team can actually change the outcome of a battle or even win map control. People will get bored eventually, especially with not actually having rewards for doing wvw, and leave to a lower pop server. And thats when the real fun starts!!
^ Agree with this dude, we fought Kaineng last week and I must admit their numbers have really increased, also the way they organize is very good as well. I even thought about moving to their side. Personally I prefer small scales WvW assaults, 30 vs 30 or so, where numbers are nearly equal and is not a insane load of people vs a few guys trying to enjoy the game. Also the more places keep being under siege the more exp/karma and gold I can farm while having fun.
I’d rather not switch because I have friends on my server. I am wondering why servers aren’t capped. Also, I am wondering why people feel the need to join one server so they can dominate rather than compete for first place.
Who cares? How much fun can 3 hour queues be? lol
The paradox of WvW: The only way to be successful at WvW is for your server to have queues, which means you can’t help. Once you can actually play, your server starts losing because not enough people are playing on your server.
Hey don’t worry. People will leave soon. But even if they makes you a tier 2 server you will still get to face tier 1 competition because your ranking is so high it’ll take a while before you get appropriately matched. Enjoy.
Population caps make the game more competitive, but it just SUCKS to be stuck in a queue, and people can’t be trusted to filter down to the less populated servers.
Now if you could spend gems to force whoever has been in map longest to D/C and you get their spot, well…
