I give up on thief, i just dont find entertainment to fight them, is just all about stealth stealth stealth backstab HSHSHSHS. I will wait for the next balance patch hoping anet fix this mechanic or SO long.

They do, and they listen, and a lot of people have the hope someday you broken mechanic will get fixed, The current perma stealth mechanic is the most imbalanced tool in this game.
-NO LOS
-NO Target
-NO condition indication to predict position.
-Reset combat at will
-Get out of combat against 5-10 enemies without difficult.

And have no penalties, no risk, no downtime. Imagine Mesmer whit a trait that give him infinite Endurance and trained whit evasive deception= Inifnite Clones, Well the infinite and stealth at will is a clear advance against the Human perception. Is just a frustrating moment to deal every 1 sec.

Please Arena Net, Listen to us, your Beloved customers around the forum asking for a Ending to this Semi-exploit.

Or maybe I’m just lucky, no thieves ever attack me, or i’m just too good in this game.
Who know, maybe you people get attacked by hordes of thieves all the time, then it’s an issue.

Thieves could use a lil something to bring them down a notch, like you know how you turn the knob in the shower to get that perfect temperature? Just a lil bit all I want. As it is right now I rarely get dropped by 1 or 2 thieves, but I also don’t even think to stop and kitten foot with them. Im running & poof – 2 lil midgets on a sugar high appear, doin flippity flops & playing leap frog begging me to play. 2 scenarios, I engage and do work on both then they vanish for 30s while I’m doing circles with my camera and poof there at it again bouncing off the wall except this time I down 1, and just like that they vanish again…then I see them both up and running, either back at me or away from me. Other scenario is I just keep running while they hop around and after about 5 mins going from top of map to bottom they give up and turn around or they slowly dwindle my hp down with a thousand little pricks and rubberband welts

Most thieves that already know me don’t even bother to engage my burst s/d build ele from bg even on 2v1 because they already know their outcome (even to those that constantly steath). They are squishy even when they think they are “bunker” against burst. Have a burst non glass cannon build with your profession and they are a piece of cake as long as you interrupt them when they are about to stealth or burst them down before they even get a chance to stealth.

I don’t have a problem with stealth, I have a problem with Cloak and dagger and Backstab dmg, 12k dmg from pressing 2 buttons? Im in the middle of a good small group skirmish and my health is about a little over half and here comes the thief out of left field and drops me. really? lol I guess I cant complain I appreciate the damage from thieves on my team

Yes, please, give up on thief. 75% of your messages are about nerfing the class, it seems you found your crusade. I would recommend everybody to dedicate more time playing ingame than living in the forums.
As already stated, each class shines in different environments, someclasses in many. thieves are last option in pve dungeons, last option in zerg dedicated MvM guilds and average class in duels. They can hit and run, or ambush…learn to live with ot because it is the only think they can do fine.
