The class seems to be just one big exploit.

glitching through walls/up cliffs

the list just goes on and on

everything the mesmer class seems to do well in pvp just seems like it is exploiting the game engine in ways the developers never originally thought would happen

If by “portal bombing” you’re referring to exploiting the culling issue, then anyone who can cast swiftness on an infinite number of players can achieve the same result. Cast swiftness… bum-rush the enemy… culling achieved.

And pulling without line of site is no different than getting knocked back without line of site.

The wall/cliff glitch isn’t a Mesmer only problem.

and what about other classes perma stunned, getting pushed over cliffs by guardians and warriors, cetting snatched of a tower by thief, dancing daggers, eles earthquake and tornados, enginiers blow u up. thieves invisible….yeah it is ment to be hard and every class has its pros and cons well the thieves are still a little too op in wvsw but in my opinion the other classes are pretty good eventhough i would give the engineer a little boost. but mesmers are fine as they are.

They arent glitching, they are hiding themsleves in keeps wating for the enemy to move out then portalling their group back in.

The other two are OK if you ask me. As said other classes have similar skills; as for pulling people off a keep over a cliff, well what about aoe damage, or a a ranger’s arrow barrage, if you do that you have to get rid of those as well for the same reason.

Basically this means you have to be more observant and not expect you can just stand on the edge of a tower showering enemies and not expect them to kill you.

For the portal bombing, you just have to be ready for it. I keep hearing people claiming they lose cos the other team has higher numbers. WRONG, it’s cos you arent skilled enough yet. My guild does a lot of portal bombing and we’ve had portal bombs done on us, 7/10 times we win even when outnumbered 3-1.
Now if half of your player run away when they get bombed then that’s their problem and you should be telling them not to and stick to their ground and push back. I’ve had this happen as well and when asked why they ran, they said “we were outmanned, there were too many of them”, it’s nonsense the real reason is that they are chicken, how can they claim we were outmanned when they ran away on first sight of the enemy zerg and not even throwing one punch.

TBH when it comes to enemy on towers and walls mesmers have a hard time. On my mesmer I can clearly see the torso of enemy player and spam my skills, but every single one of them get’s “Obstructed”, I am clearly in line of sight cos I can see half their body, yet still cannot get a hit.

Portal Bombing is not an exploit.
Pulling is not an exploit (it is an ability on their Focus).
Any class can exploit/glitch their way on cliffs and some towers. This has nothing to do with Mesmers.

Portal bombing isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be. You can see the first portal on the ground waiting to be activated before the second one is placed, giving you and indication of what is about to happen. There are clever ways to use portals, yes, but it is hardly an exploit or OP skill. Whenever you capture a tower/keep, look around for mesmers hidden inside. It takes 5 minutes and saves you a lot of grief. Mesmers who wall climb then port people in are cheating and that is a problem in the game that needs fixed, but it isn’t a problem with the portal skill, it is a problem with wall climbing.

This isn’t really something to gripe about either. It is one of the only things mesmers have to fight against people in towers/keeps in WvW. The profession has almost no AoE. Chaos Storm is great. Feedback is great. You move over a few feet and that’s about it. If you’re sitting on a tower firing, the mesmer is all but screwed if they want to help capture the area.

As someone on here already mentioned, this isn’t a mesmer-specific problem.

Really, before claiming that a profession is OP or using exploits, it would be more productive to evaluate your own game play and try to get better. If you’re struggling against mesmers, you should try to develop new tactics to fight against them instead of asking for a nerf. I have problems fighting against thieves, but that doesn’t mean there is something wrong with that profession. It means I still have things I personally need to work on.

A messer does the following

- Moves troops and golems Quickly
- has the abilty to hide bring in forces to re take lost Bases ect
- can clear battlements to assisit the attacking team (its about all we can do in bases attacks)

ok so you want to nerf it just because it ………..whatit stops you from winning or have you been pulled off a few times.

well i would like hammer gardians nerfed cus the can 2 hit kill me, i would like thiefs nerffed cus they can perma stelth and kill me.

In wvw each class has its pro and cons and duties just like in real war situations. you just have to learn to play and adapt.

Maybe give a mes a go so you can learn to counter us.
