T5 to T7 will be sort of frstrating for a guild like you.

I’d suggest Sea of Sorrows (T4) – they have an excellent, passionate WvW community. When we fought them last, they impressed us with their skill, passion and sportiness.

Yak’s Bend is also a nice server with a lot of WvW focus, though they’re tier 3. I’d stay away from Maguuma, though. Not impressive, and poor sportsmanship.

If you really have to go to lower tiers, IoJ seems to be a good choice.

So did he tell us where they ended up?

How about just split up the guild? Moving 300 people at once is overly disruptive to both the server from which you are leaving and the one you are moving.

It’s too big a decision to rush. We are taking this move seriously because we want to find somewhere we can stay for a very long time… so while people throwing suggestions out on the forums is great, but it’s important to check out each of the servers that contacts us and wants a larger wvw guild in order to really get a feel for what they’re about. We’ve definitely been sending out people to check things out on more than one server though.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. Any suggestions about a given server is welcomed.

Thanks to everyone for those suggesting SoS. T1-4 we have the lowest NA pop and would certainly welcome any help we receive during NA timezone. It will help us immensely if we ever move up to T3.

I see a lot of people saying that KWBH would bring imbalance to a lower tier between T5-T7 but hey, they have been on T8 and I never saw any imbalance that made ET a unstoppable force. I recall that ET only won once since it reached T8.

Try sorrow’s furnace… we do exceptionally well until we get hit over night and we just hit t6 this is our second week. We went from Red to Blue, but need a little more coverage and players – esp during the week to stay strong.

Here’s a screen shot of how we did today. Guaranteed though, DH will close – and overtake during the week (esp over night).

We had a decent few thousand point lead last week but lost it midway. We’re a very strong server and are strong contenders to make it to t5 and even t4 with the proper organization.

We worked very hard to climb out of t8, so it would be great to have some people join a growing server who is learning as the weeks go by.

From how things are looking so far in T5, out of the 3 servers, I’m suggesting you guys go with AR. We’ve been hitting them pretty hard and even with their reset crew out, they lost the entirety of their borderlands and quite a bit of Eternal. They need backup…plus well, we love fighting them so much we don’t want them to leave the tier.

It’s interesting people only pick the content they want to read. :P I gather the info from a few posts in this thread regarding 5-7 tiers and conclude for you.

9 servers (8 if not counting Ehmry Bay who seems to be able to move to T4 any time soon). Also AR seems to have the #1 NA PvPers. If you want to test skills and play against them in WvW, then maybe you should consider BP (both in tier 5). Otherwise the 8 pug servers are really no much difference. :P Pick any~

I know NSP has already been mentioned but we would like to have you too, we could use a bit more population and last weeks match up was incredibly close but this week DR and GOM are already a bit ahead so your guild would be great especially with the 10-15 sea guys that you have who would help incredibly for our night crew! Also we have community TS servers and a very friendly community…also fantastic PVE if you care about that too

There are 3 servers id recommend, Ehmry Bay, Devonas Rest or Anvil Rock. DR is one of the most tactically sound servers we have faced in lower tiers. I loved fighting them because no matter what numbers they fielded they always managed to put up a fight. Their players had skill in the open field, and their community seemed strong from an outsiders perspective. Much of the same can be said for AR, except skewed more towards open field fighting moreso than WvW siege/defense tactics – a product of their sPvP roots.

Ehmry has 3 large WvW guilds of your size already that work very well together, as well as many smaller but VERY dedicated guilds. We are a stable community that for the most part have all been together since the beginning. We have only had one major guild transfer to us – SEKZ – who gelled very well with our group and made a huge impact on how we play.

If you consider Ehmry I suggest you visit our forums at ehmry.com, talk to us on TS, and especially talk to SEKZ about their experience coming over as they will have some insight into your situation moreso than others would.

Being from Ehmry Bay myself, obviously I’m biased on who I hope you choose, but I feel that we have a very dedicated and professional core WvW community, and that you could probably make a big impact on our server as a whole, while learning a lot yourselves.

Well, after skimming the thread it looks like the general consensus is that Jade Quarry would be ideal for your guild. You’d be most welcome, of course.

They want a server between tiers 5-7 which jq is not.
The consensus is that jq needs to stop spamming recruitment threads that have specific conditions on the transfer which preclude jq from being an option.
I was hoping since noodles bailed your recruiting spam would take a hit, I see I was mistaken.

80-90 online at once? You’re going to screw up whatever match you go to in T5-T7. I’d suggest waiting a week, and if Kaineng is dying enough to go to T4, you’d probably want to go to Sea of Sorrows and bring them up to a well-rounded T3 server.

Nothing to apologize for. This is a big decision, obviously. Regretfully I don’t see JQ there, but I wish you the best of luck wherever you all do land.

I enjoy reading these threads. I think what the OP needs to look at is which of the server choices on their list has lost WvW guilds and why they have lost them. Moving a large number of players to a server is a huge, expensive undertaking. Moving to a server where large guilds have left may be a red flag. Those players left for a reason. Maybe it was because they wanted a challenge that they felt the current server they were on was not willing to try and achieve, or maybe it was due to a painfully acidic/bad/negative WvW community. What the OP also needs to realize is they are going to get how “excellent” the WvW community is on those servers up until they transfer.

I would suggest Underworld on the EU servers.

Why? well you want to move 300+ players to a server in a lower tier, chances are if you do it to another US server you will push them up the tiers and cause large queues for that server which is obviously going to cause issues. The reason an EU server like Underworld is a perfect solution is simple, our peak time is going to be your lunch time, when you have your peak time we will mostly be going to bed or getting up in the morning.
This means there won’t be a queue problem because the times you will want to play most will have less of our EU players on.
This means not only will you not have any issues with the original population but the server gets a 24/7 coverage instantly making your guild a important part of the community, which is perfect when you are new to a server.

Also Underworld is an awesome name :P

Based off feedback from Players in Australia, Asia and the US you wont have any real problems with lag, the only FPS drops are when you have 3 full zergs in SM in the lords room but thats something that will burn away even the best computer no matter the region :P

If im completely honest the last time our server lost any big WvW guilds was back last halloween. Since they noone new has left and we have had a small number of guilds join the server. The 3 or so tiers we moved up came from the hard work and cooperation of the entire server working together, not getting new players from higher tiers.

BG always have a solid argument. If talking earnt points for the wvw scores, bg would win EVERY week lol.
Outside them, you can’t go wrong with any of the servers listed.

Come to NSP. GoM has received some transfers that are starting to unbalance the tier. DR has good numbers and that is what we are lacking right now. Seems our server is one that is always forgotten about but people enjoy playing against.

NSP doesn’t need server hoppers.
But I can see atleast 4 bandwagon server posting here being like, “omg itz lik so funsies on r serverz” that it kind of makes me a bit sick. So here it goes

The lower in tiers you go the less ZOMG zerg zerg zerg it gets. Other than its basically the same as the other tiers.
So if a large guild joins says t7. You can basically take a map and win the week by yourself.
I mean its not that easy. We still field 40 and even 60 man zergs when we talk with our friends/alliance.
But you get to stick a lil flag in that borderland and everyone on that map gets subjected to your recruitment. Meaning win win.

NSP is a PvE server.
It has a core of WvW players who’ve been so badly stripped of everything that they’ll never leave.
And most importantly of all.
No server drama. They all bandwagoned off and their guilds then died.

NSP is the motherland. More often than not peeps enjoying playing us, simply because yes, we’re outnumbered. But oh, do our commanders love to zerg break.

It’s nothing personal, but BP doesn’t need more numbers…you guys need more skill in the numbers of you that are already there. You get that skill, and you won’t need any more numbers (because you’ll probably beat the hell out of us).

If you are implying that we would be afraid to fight BP with an extra presence in the NA primetime, that had nothing to do with my recommendations. They had some specific requirements and after fighting BP for about 9 weeks now I don’t feel they fit what this guild is looking for. If they ultimately do move there and are happy with the decision, then I am happy for them. I personally haven’t been left with a good impression from what I have seen from BP thus far though, and wouldn’t steer someone there.

If I were to make an honest and unbiased recommendation excluding my own server I would still put Devona’s Rest on the top of the list. They are a really great community, we thoroughly enjoyed fighting them, and many on my server feel that with just a little bit more manpower they could be a permanent and competitive fixture in this tier. They were always outmanned, but never outclassed.

You should join Elona Reach [DE] we can use a stronger night shift if we want to fight vizunah next week again.

Go to a EU server and make a difference

Pretty sure Jade Quarry has a coverage gap in the toilet break between SEA and Euro changeover. They could use another guild to make sure the flush is working correctly.

Or maybe Blackgate if you want to be a part of their Guinness world record attempt for the most number of people that can be crammed into a server. Sideways.

We have ways of making things happen. A little mesmer magic, a couple veils here and there and instant space!

Not sure if you’re still looking, but to speak for T6 IoJ would have the least numbers, SF does not need more NA coverage time. DH has decent all around coverages the past two weeks or so their oceanics and SEA people have really stepped up. IoJ is mainly Oceanics and SEA. Though we have been recruiting and getting people from NA to be active recently and we tend to win (battles) with less numbers a lot of the time. However i dont believe people here have a desire to go above T6. We like how things are now tbh :P even if we are outnumbered half the time, we hold our own quite well. I would have to suggest SoS too or BP though. Both great servers for an NA crew.

If your looking to help a server with less people then most servers we are matched up against then you should look into Northern Shiverpeaks. We don’t have many fairweather players. What we do have is dedicated wvw players that spend 90% of the time logged into wvw. When I go out in the bls I know almost everyone there simply because we have a solid backbone for wvw. Its the same people , win or lose.

I moved from FC a while back. Maybe 3 months ago , I still remember your guild from my days in Envy. I love this server. Great people , skilled players , we just don’t have enough people.

NSP is a perfect fit for a big guild. We also have a huge pve community if that matters at all.

I think t6&7 has gained some stability and doesn’t really need a big guild to tilt them off.

T5 is where it’s really outmatched right now. BP and AR are outmanned anytime EB decides to push one map. BP & AR can’t really get a zerg greater than 30 or so except reset night simply because there isn’t that many of them. Most of the time the “big” zerg is only about 20 people large. So when EB pushes with a map queue, there’s nothing to stop them. Because of this, EB will likely move up a tier, but CD or SI that’s going to drop down from T4 is going to be exactly the same. They’ll still out number BP or AR.

If AR is out of the OP’s list, I really think BP’s pretty much the only option left.

And for the love of god… stop suggesting t1~4.

They want a challenge.. If you guys really think you would make a difference to any server you joined, then join a server in the lower tiers who lacks the coverage and could really do with some help.

unfortunately the time difference and pvdoor that lower tier EU servers give NA players won’t bring many of our players enjoyment … combine those with the latency issues and it’s a tough sell…

I mean sure, we could make a huge difference turning the maps one color while everyone’s asleep, but will we have fun doing it? probably not

The shoe being on the other foot, if any larger guild from EU decided to head to the lowest tier of the NA match up they would undoubtedly bring that server up a tier, but they would meet with little or no resistance and just attack mostly empty forts

Thought I saw this post some time ago and is still going on. :P I guess it’s a big decision to move so many players. Speaking of which, moving so many players require a lot of golds. Maybe you could just move to anywhere who can give you the most donation? Just trying to be practical because that is the only thing I’d concern if I were to move.
