well – now expansion is out from a while, every class has studied a build.
EVERY class with new elite spec – new skills and weapon has got access to CC – to Stability – to stealth – to leaps/evasions.
if this is perfect in the new maps where everywhere is a danger, did anet considered what would have happened with those skills in WvW?
every class has much mobility.
even more chance of bursting and escape (stealth – leaps)
and when there is a fight? who has the more stability and bursts wins…
fighting vs someone is like fighting a thief or warrior everytime – even if its called engineer – elementalist or guardian or ranger

It is quite simple: back in GW1 there was a PvE and a PvP version of a skill if they needed to balance it. In GW2 this idea is almost gone (stealth is still different in WvW, PvP and PvE) so they don’t balance skills according to WvW. They’ve also stated, that they are not going to balance skills based on the outcome of the PvP proleague so nobody knows what they are doing.
This really isnt any different from how its always been. If someone cowardly run away, just let them. Count it as a victory. Run the other way yourself. Its always been rock-paper-scissor in duels even though some people like to think its “skillfull” when they own that build that in no way can defeat their build. You think we enjoyed hunting nike warriors as necros? WvW at its best is all about small group fights such as 5v5, where tactics and player skill under real pressure start to shine.
