new player,Server and active players
You should give SFR another chance.
The matchup resets on Friday evening. That’s when the most activity takes place. You are bound to find commanders then. The activity cools down towards the end of the matchup. Especially when the score is as lopsided as in SFR’s current matchup.
Besides transferring costs gems (in-game gold or real life money).
Yes, that is the current WvW leaderboard. It just does not reflect the server linking which is only 4 months old feature.
SFR is one of the host servers (better) in the linkings. Players tend to transfer from guest servers only.
EotM is a different game mode than WvW. EotM will be the same no matter which server you are on. EotM does not count towards the leaderboards.
This won’t hurt [Much]
Ring of Fire
Hi, you must dinstinguish between the edge of the mists (eotm) and the other maps.
You might have noticed already that your server is blue in this current matchup of regular WvW, playing against Riverside (green) and Jade Sea (red). Eotm does not belong to regular WvW. It was once introduced as a WvW simulating substitute map for players in queue (WvW maps can be full and generate a queue) and works differently. In eotm servers are grouped according to their colour; you play in the blue team consisting of all five servers which are blue atm. The people you see there are therefor not necessarily from your server.
If you like to get to know the real WvW, best chance to find action, people and a commander is at prime time (evening) most likely on eternal battlegrounds or your home map. Ask for the teamspeak address and join your servermates there. Also consider that the game is four years old. No server can fill all the maps all the time.
Well EotM is superior game mode so why i would play some boring normal WvW?

My honest advice would be to pick a Server that is a “Host” World 1st then by their WvW Rank based on the current state of this Game Mode.
Guest Worlds are ok, but their Players tends to migrate to their Linked Host Worlds.
Host Worlds have their name shown in the WvW Interface.
Press B – Look at the Interface side titled “Mist Wars”. You’ll see Host World Names.
Mouse hover over the Host World Names & you’ll see the Guest World Names appear.
You’ll have a very hard time to get into any #1 Ranked WvW World due to ANet trying to stop players from “stacking” of Active Players on them.
Also, keep in mind that Host Worlds have different “cultures” that emphasize different tactical offensive & defensive styles. Pick the Host that uses tactics that you enjoy.

ok thanks for the informations,so if i would like to switch to the green or red team in eotm i would need to go to a server that is inside that color bracked or are all servers mixed inside a new bracket each week so that next week the red color consist of 5 new servers?
i not care so mutch about ranking i just want to have a lot of aktive players in my bracked/ wvw server so that i always can join a grp and not have to run around alone since as far as i can see there is nothing you can do alone ther besides finding another solo player and do a 1v1?
and how is it with the 3 WvW servers are they always the same, every week or is my server fighting against 2 other servers every week?

Yes, EotM teams are the combined players from their Mist War colored Worlds.
Worlds get weekly assigned their Color depending on their weekly performance.
The Green Worlds for the week tends to be the stronger World in the Match-Up, but this isn’t true all the time.
World Linking mechanic is actually changing this because a Green World might have to fight 4 Servers that are Red in their Match-Up.
Since you’re new here…stay with the WvW server that you’re on now…and just play to learn what you like & don’t like. Migrating to another World server costs gems…so take your time in deciding.
Good luck & welcome to WvW.

See this current post about World Linking.
This mechanic is relatively new to WvW.

Hmm. Well…
…true, SFR has indeed seen better days concerning population and coverage. We might even say that SFR has not seen worse yet. But we aint dead. There is still fun to be had. So…
…before you transfer to another server I would suggest you drag your kitten out of EotM and join the actual WvW-maps. For the moment, I would say, join WvW during primetime.
On those maps, you ask someone (almost anyone) to invite you to a certain SFR WvW-community guild and join that. While you are on the map, you also jump on SFR’s TeamSpeak (you can ask the details on mapchat). Then you join a squad, their TS-channel and you focus the kitten up.
Next to that, you also join the SFR WvW-community website pevepe.net (and bring your questions, theorycrafting, light drama and memes with you).
After you did all that and played a while and you still do not enjoy your time, you can always transfer away. But please don’t transfer when you haven’t experienced (SFR) WvW for real yet.
PS: bit specific info, but I assume these kind of community tools are used on all servers and thus would be advice for all new players in WvW: seek out the community, engage, focus up

By the way new EotM match start in 5 min.

Never pick a server by virtue of their place in the wvw rankings alone. This will only lead down the fairweather server hopping path. Instead find a server that you can identify with in the values it perpetuates and stick with it. General picking only servers in tier 1 matchups only gives huge mindless blobs and skill lag. Finding one that encompasses your personal values and is somewhere the middle wvw ranking wise is usually optimal and far more entertaining.
There is a weekly reset each friday 18:00 UTC which starts a new matchup. Chances are relatively equal to get any of the colours and several different enemy servers:

As others already said, give it a break. Don’t get lost to eotm. I’m not on SFR and have never been there, but I guess there will be nice people who appreciate new players. Transfering would probably not change much for you.
