I think people should be rewarded for winning wvw and not just capping things as fast as possible so i have come up with a new reward system that i believe could help accomplish this.

I will give you an example of how it would work (I’m am using these numbers for simplicity and i realize actual scores and such would be higher):

Score———base reward——-#of players—-placement bonus—total reward
Team 1. 250————-1000———————100———————-1st: 10%——————1500
Team 2. 200————-1000———————150———————-2nd: 5%——————-700
Team 3. 150————-1000———————- 50———————-3rd: 0%———————1500

as you can see everyone starts with same base reward and then score,#of players, and placement effect the toatal rewards.

Score:
THis is the simplest one to work with. Each team will have a certain amount of points. You add up the totals for each team then divide by 3 to get the average. the you take each teams total and divide by the average.
example:
250+200+150=600 600/3=200
team 1. 250/200= 1.250 1.250 × 1000=1250
team 2. 200/200= 1.000 1.000 × 1000=1000
team 3. 150/200= .750 0.750 × 1000= 750

#of players:
This will be the number of players that have contributed to wvw. there would either have to be a minimum amount of contribution or some sort of % based on how much each person did. Once again you would add the 3 teams totals and average. However, this time you will divide the average by the total.
example:
100+150+50=300 300/3=100
team 1. 100/100= 1 1250x 1 =1250
team 2. 100/150= .666 1000×.666= 666
team 3. 100/ 50= 2 750 x 2 =1500

Placement bonus:
This is simply who takes first, second, and third

team 1. 1250+10%=1500
team 2. 666+ 5%= 700
team 3. 1500+0% = 1500

as you can see team 2 got by far the least point. this is because they were unable to beat team 1 despite having 50% more players. Team 3 got just as many points as team 1 despite finishing last because it was able to get as many points as it did because it was vastly outnumbered by the other 2 teams.

The biggest issue i can see is try to figure out what counts as a person that contributed to the server. I think the best way to do this is the give a person a % of a whole based on how much they do. This number would also be used to boost the individuals rewards. There could be any number of levels of contribution.
example:
base reward: 1000
————————total rewards
level 1. 10% 100
level 2. 20% 200
level 3. 30% 300
and so on till
level 10. 100% 1000

the current wxp could be used for this. I believe it could use a reworking but that a different topic.

There should also be a bonus based on each tier the server is in perhaps 2%-3% per tier up from the bottom.

These reward points could be used to buy all types of things. Weapons, armor, skins, what ever they wanted to do as long as its something worth having. They could also make a “random exotic” chest to buy with points that could drop and exotic including a precursor.
