I’m playing WvW now, & I was told I should be getting Proof of Heroics when I level up.
But this isn’t happening. So I would like to know if there is something I am missing in order to get these, or do I have to just wait till I’m a specific level to get them?

Proofs of heroics come from Rank up chests and they go right into your account wallet not your inventory so its easy to not see it. Check your account wallet to see how many you have accumulated. There is no level restriction.

You no longer gain exp in wvw, so you dont level up that way, you do get tomes now from reward tracks. There was probably some confusion over exp and wxp leveling.

okay, I don’t have any in my wallet either, I checked-this is why I am worried.

are you actually ranking up though? or are you just leveling up? There is a difference

Proofs were introduced with HoT, so you will not be retroactively awarded proofs for any previous ranks that were earned pre-HoT. Also check your bank and inventory for any proofs/rank up chests that you might have because they were only recently changed to be stored in the account wallet. If you have any just double click them and they will be added to your account wallet. If you still do not receive any from rank up chests, submit a bug report. I get them consistently with each rankup chest, so I cant say I have had any issues.

is OP level 80? I don’t know if that makes a difference or not – all my chars are 80….

That might be the problem, although I haven’t read or heard anything about a level restriction but I could definitely be wrong. If that is the cause, it seems rather odd.

Proof of Heroics come from http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chest_of_the_Mists_ which come from http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/World_Experience#Rewards (World Rank Chests) when you rank up in WvW.

I have looked at all the guild wiki references to these, and it just says you get it from leveling up… but I think I’m leveling, and not getting anything. sad face

What level is your toon, not wvw rank. If you were on a pve map, what level would it show?

level 80 in PVE, 41 Mastery Points, I have HoT.

Ok get a rank in wvw, and you will get a bouncy chest above your minimap, open it and see if you get any proofs. Aside from that the only thing I can think of is that there is a bug or a rank req before you get them.

Think this might be the problem, the first 5 chests are different and you are still Rank 5

From Wiki-
Past rank 6, the World Rank Chests are the same. The earlier chests have slightly less loot because they are easier to acquire.

Rank up a little more, you should start getting them after rank 6 or 7, the wording on wiki is a little confusing.

Proofs can also be used to unlock hero points on a toon, and can be used to purchase HoT recipes, runes, and sigils. It’s all on the wiki page. The rank requirement, which is most likely the issue here is not listed on the page.

Within the chest above your minimap, you should get 2 random weapon/armour pieces and a brown chest. Within that is a tome of knowledge, and your proofs. As others have said, it’ll be a rank thing.

Proofs go straight to the account wallet, not into the inventory. Check there.
