notes on some stuff:
Dragonhunter
“hunters ward”: when we will see the red mark?
compared to “line of warding” 6 rings that you dont see compared to 1…
one of them is too much.
virtue of resolve: 1625 aoe healing 600 radius and 43,5s or 50s compared to wings of resolve that has a leap of 800 – remove imob on the caster – heals for 3,500+ with 30s cd, makes virtue of resolve ridiculos. make them the same at least.
ranger:
solar beam: cant block it? cant reflect it? what is it? 3 targets – ok 3 pulses ok – but area of effect? 100? 200? 300? pierces? doesnt pierce? not specified
ancient seeds: striking a stunned – dazed – knocked down etc foe – entangle every 10s – cool nice – but range? infinite?
juvenile bristleback and juvenile smokeskale. the more op pet in the game.
basically every other kind of pet is useless compared to them!
and they are even more intelligent than the old ones!
general consideration:
for 3 years you showed us that “damage OR stay alive” now you can have both.
and make old system possible to use.
adjust some leaps-mobility. range basically.
example: wings of resolve with 800 leap?? (offensively and defensively)
ancestral grace 1200 range? (offensively and defensively)
and if used defensively when will you get them?
tune a bit those things because in some game (wvw) its getting simply ridiculos to get in a fight.
with all those “leaps” “healing” “blocks” or “reflect” and range stuff.

Why don’t you post questions in their subforums about how to fight them, or better yet why don’t you try them out yourself to learn their weaknesses?
shall i go on with:
Phase Smash? leap 1200 aoe 5 targets then go back?
Electro-whirl hammer engineer that reflect every 6s (while attacking) and Shock Shield engineer hammer 20s cd blocking while attacking – making old shield engineer simply useless?
2-3 gyros that is perma stun – get superspeed and 470 healing a second in a berserk build (and like 550 with 500 healing?? LOL)?
old system vs new system = no compete. this is the meaning of this post.
anet tune things out: nerf new things in wvw – pvp or buff old things to keep up with new system.

Nope.
Even though I have HoT and have a Druid I prefer to play my pre-HoT Ranger build. Yes I die sometimes but I don’t die any faster or any more often. I’ve fought and beaten Dragon Hunters, Revenants and Reapers. To be fair I’ve also been killed by them too, but it’s about even so far.

Old System vs New System?
You’ll see some really good players who have bought HoT and made the new classes and are playing them because it’s new and fun – these players can be naturally good, and many are way better than I am. That does not mean their classes need nerfing, it means I need to get smarter and faster, or pick my fights more carefully and lead them into an area that hinders their play.
I’ll take a well played pre-HoT build over a poorly played Elite spec any day.
funghetto. I agree with you on the specialization classes.Some of the “over powered” skills definitely outmatch the traditional classes.Personally I like the idea of having more diversification in builds but shouldn’t give the massive advantage that the new specializations have done.A good example is why would a dragon hunter have an elite trap when a traditional ranger or thief don’t.
The only thing I can suggest to you is you need to fight just a little smarter now .Find their weaknesses, build tougher with more vitality , healing and speed.
Hopefully some kind of balance will take place in the next quarterly update.

The bristleback and smokescale have extremely mediocre stats (virtually identical to devourers and bears, respectively), you only think they’re broken because their skill sets allow them to actually do their job and reliably hit things.
